Unnecessary elements - skippable

The different personalities portrayed actually encapsulates the typical character behaviors in any kdrama - the embodiment of the tropes. This is why I feel like the family political strife was unnecessary to the plot and was just added to add more layer and give off a feeling of complexity and depth to the series. I'm tired of this trope and skipped over the scenes showing Korean chaebol problems for the sake of sanity.
I enjoyed watching the MC deal with his situation. The family fued, not so much - too pedestrian to be forgettable - it's almost insulting to one's intelligence.

Contains the usual stale kdrama drama:
Workplace bullying
Assault
Child abuse
Dysfunctional family
Tragic past
Some Mexican drama elements
