If you're wondering if you should watch it, the answer is yes.

So I am late to the party. I watched to watch it as it was airing but didn't want to wait every week, then it turned into me waiting till now. I just recently got into Thai dramas, as a long time cdrama fan. This is my 3rd Thai drama. It has been a long time since I have given a drama a 10/10. From the very first episode, I was hooked. I have seen most of the 2018 Chinese adaptation. I didn't really enjoy it, the casting, acting, and plot was off and not really enjoyable for me. But this one hit all the right points perfectly.

The actors were so good and the roles were made for each and every one of them, i wouldn't be the same if it was someone else. They embodied their characters with each detail. Brought them to life. They make you love them, hate them. They so clearly show the development of all the characters. This is also the acting debut of several of the main casts. You wouldn't think its their debut, they are so natural on screen.

The story was also really well written and executed. There were hilarious moments that make you laugh out loud. Deep heartbreaking moments. Beautiful friendships. Exploring family relationships, friendships, love. The characters developed and grew beautifully throughout the story.

MJ, i love mj. As a character in previous versions, he didn't have much screentime or storyline. I loved how this one gave him so much and gave the audience so much to love. i want more mj.

The only thing i dont like is that its only 16 episodes. I need more of F4 + Gorya

i don't know how i feel yet.

I am currently about halfway through this drama and I feel like I have forced myself to keep watching.

Let's start with the good things.

The cast is phenomenal. Tan Songyun is an actress that I have been following for a while and I personally love her. She makes acting so realistic and natural. She can play characters that are almost half her age with ease. I loved her in Go Ahead and Dear Mayang Street. She also has to ability to have great chemistry with every single one of her male leads. In this drama, she still plays her role very well. She delivers and doesn't disappoint her fans. I don't think that she is the perfect casting for this role because she has more of a sweet and cuter visual appearance and Shiyi feels like someone who is a more rigid and more serious vibe. Although I haven't seen any of Wallace's other dramas, I have heard from others, including my mom, that he has other dramas that were great. His character just doesn't give you the feeling that other male leads give you. There are times where he is very cool and attractive but he is very mellow and listens to his mom a little too much. He barely pays attention to all the trouble and drama that is happening between his concubines and wife. Speaking of concubines, I haven't hated a character as much since I watch 10 miles of peach blossoms. Qiao Lianfang makes me want to slap her across the face every time I see her. Kudos to the actress for playing such a hated character so well. The MIL is also a pain. She plays favorites wayyyyy too much and it's so annoying to see her like that.

One of the best things about the drama is the OSTs. They are so freaking good. The main OST is sung by Zhou Shen, who is one of my favorite singers.

On to the bad things. The script gets very boring and kind of predictable. As of right now, it's very boring. I think a big plot twist is coming up soon so it might change my mind but it's taking a lot to keep me watching. I'm partially only staying for the cast but that's about it. The whole story is about Shiyi finding the person who murdered her mother and she is kind of blinded by it. She uses the people around her to find everything and doesn't think about how it might hurt others, especially her relationship with the male lead. I don't know if it is because I am watching as it is releasing but it doesn't keep me drawn in as other dramas do. I had very high expectations from this drama. From the stills to the trailer to the cast. Everything seemed good.

I'll probably watch all of it or at least hear about it from my mom as she watches it but at this point I'm very disappointed.

Heartwarming

I'm currently waiting for new episodes of my drama to come out and decided to give this one a try. It's been on my list for a while because of the familiar cast but it was better than I expected. With several different stories that all kind of connect to the same vet. Each story was unique and focused on different relationships and how their pets played into them. A new couple with a pig and trying to navigate a new life. A newly wed couple with a dog that seems to be the third wheel and protects his mom every time they try to do something. A new relationship forming with the help of a little kitty. A father-daughter relationship getting healed with the help of a cat. So many stories that may seem simple but are really special. Even me, someone who doesn't have pets and has no intention of wanting pets, was touch by the story. I was crying so hard at the end for many reasons. Also, the guest appearance of ONER was great. I laughed so much through the drama, very humourous writing and acting.

if you are wondering if you should watch this. here is you sign. go. now. no regrets.

I am the type of drama watcher that loves a good angsty drama with breakups and misunderstandings and a long rollercoaster of emotions to the road back together. I was getting bored of the dramas I had been watching so I went exploring before stumbling on this masterpiece that immediately caught my attention. Before we go, I am going to separate this into different parts so bare with me.

Cast:
It was almost a brand new cast for me. I had only ever seen the male lead, Fan Shiqi, in Love Unexpected. It was the first time I've seen or watched the rest of the cast. All of them acted so beautifully. They were able to bring their characters to life even as they traveled from college to adult life. Growing up from a happy and carefree teenager to an adult that has to deal with work, stress, loss, relationships, and family. Fan Shiqi's performance in this drama was one of the best that I had ever seen. His emotions and acting were heartwrenching. You could see the struggles, the pain, the regret, and the love he had in his eyes. I just wanted to give him a hug the entire time.

Story:
It was a very interesting concept. It combined their past and future, weaving in and out of each other to keep you paying attention, It was a little confusing at first but once you were familiar with it. In the past, you see the story of all the leads unfolding. Zeyi and Yezi meet each other and fall into a youthful and pure love story. Yezi and her best friend develop a friendship with their two other roommates that become friends for life. Not only do the main leads have a long story, but the three best friends also find their match as time goes on. However, when Zeyi is about to graduate, he runs into some trouble with someone stealing his work and ruining his reputation in the manhua industry. On a whim of anger he goes to find them and an accident happens that causes him to leave for many years. But when he comes back, he only has the courage to watch Yezi from afar. Not daring to actually go up to her. When they meet again to work on adapting one of Yezi's manhuas into donghua, they are once again conflicted with the love and confusion between them. The second male lead deserved better. He is Yezi's childhood best friend and he had loved her for years and years. But because he never said anything, it was too late. He did get a little annoying at the end but he gave so much to her in secret and cared for her when on one else was there so he deserves love too.

OST and Cinematography:
I have one word for you. Beautiful. Perfect.

Finally,

GO WATCH IT, IT IS ON YOUTUBE! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS MASTERPIECE. You will laugh, you will cry and you will be confused. I still am.

I still miss them

When I started this drama, I was on a Bai Lu drama marathon. I had just finished watching The Legends with Bai Lu and XuKai as well. I started it and I was so hooked. I welcomed the new year alone while watching this one, no regrets.

Plot:
The whole story was very very unique and interesting. It is a period drama, taking place in the 1920s as Western culture was crossing over into the traditional Chinese culture. FL joins the Arsenal Military Academy disguised as a man, under the name of her brother who had once gone there as well but had already passed away. At the academy, she meets a group of guys who sort of became her cohorts. This includes the two MLs, and their friends, as well as a very bright guy who everyone loves. It follows their story and they go through things and eventually become a tight-knit group of friends and brothers. The characters ger very involved with the Japanese mafia and government, especially in this time period. FL keeps her identity hidden the majority of the show, only her best friend and the ML knows. There is a war going on so its a lot of government and military talk. It's not a pure romance drama. There is no kiss. It's very funny at the beginning and light-hearted but as you go on, it gets more and more intense. I cried a lot. If you've been watching dramas for a while and understand the way the writers think, you can kind of guess the outcomes of some of the characters. I guessed it and it still hurt when it happened.

Cast:
I loved the cast. Everyone was so perfect for their roles and did their part so well. BaiLu and XuKai have incredible chemistry. The second male lead was also really good. For the majority of the drama, I couldn't choose who I liked more and who I shipped. One of my favorite characters is the Qu ManTing. She seems like a spoiled actress and rich girl but she stands up for herself and will fight you if you do something to her or her friends. The main villain is played so so well. She makes you hate her so much.
