I am sure that “Girls Generation” Choi Soo Young brought many of her fans to this drama with expectations to see something that would make the heart flutter. The first 7 episodes were typical K-drama fare---nothing out of the ordinary on the menu, but what you did like was the gradual change of heart that Hoo Joon (played by Choi Tae Joon) was having toward Lee Guenyoung (played by Choi Soo Young).

It was not until episode 8 when Hoo Joon finally confessed his feelings to Guenyoung and actor Choi Tae Joon showed us all (and boy did he ?) that he really knows how to kiss a woman. From the moment of that kiss at the end of episode 7, it was like the drama went into overdrive and someone had slapped a jet propulsion pack on the backs of the audience. The love story shifted into high gear, and it was an incredibly fun and enjoyable ride to the very end.

The three things that I loved most about this drama were: 1) The fierce approach that Hoo Joon had in his displays of affection for Guenyoung. Every time he kissed her you got the feeling that he was thinking to himself “I am going to KISS you (Guenyoung) REEEAL GOOD!!!! You will know that you've been kissed and it will never be confused as an accident”. I just loved it !!!! I also loved Guenyoung’s girly responses to many of their sweet moments together. 2) Hoo Joon was not just a boyfriend to Guenyoung but he became an honorable man. Who couldn’t be in love with this man and/or respect him highly when he sincerely put his career on the line to protect his friends and Guenyoung. I was so proud of the transformation of Hoo Joon and the reveal of his strong character and unswerving love for Guenyoung. 3) The extremely happy ending. It was an ending that encompassed reflection, forgiveness, reconciliation, repair and finding new directions and new places. And then there was the absolute SWEET proposal for marriage that Hoo Joon made to Guenyoung followed by that signature kiss of Hoo Joon's to the woman that he so loved. I can hear the girls squealing in the crowd and the guys with wide smiles on their faces thinking---“Now that’s how you do it!!!”

The official soundtrack was also deep and varied in the amount and type of songs played but it was splashy and fun, with great lyrics and great beats, and they all brought a lightness and happiness to the whole drama.

A note of caution to those who have not seen this drama yet: The periphery stories of Jae Joon and In Hyung felt like bad side dishes through most of the drama and most of you will really hate the character of Jae Joon, but it all worked out lovely in the end---you’ll see.

This was one of the rare K-Dramas that I wish they would make a Season 2. I know Choi Tae Joon and Choi Soo Young both have significant others in their real lives but these two really had some amazing chemistry with each other on-screen. I really believe that if they did not have other people in their real lives that what we saw on screen would have been even hotter ???. This started out as a 7.5 and rocketed all the way past 10 into the stratosphere ????
