Unexpectedly Awesome

It was 3am and I just was not gonna sleep and so I decided to watch a drama and I ended up starting this one. So far, I am not disappointed. Kong Shim is a very interesting lead character (although figuring out her age is hard) the girl who plays her has a unique speaking voice and is a very realistic crier. So far there is a lot of the whole miscommunication thing. She thinks her neighbor is a gangster, her sister has to face potential job loss as well as possible sexual harassment and Kong Shim is having a hard time do to the assult and just generally feeling belittled. If the sister and the parents expressed that she mattered she'd be more understanding to their point of view to not sue but everything she held in came out and now her pride will drive her to sue no matter what. I understand how that can feel. I also liked how the lawyer is so unexpectedly unprofessional, casual and bum-like but he's really great and bounces off Kong Shim well (I especially loved the morning cuddles hehe). The man who is suspected to be his cousin is really likeable as well and I feel bad that the grandma treats him poorly but I sense a total bromance brewing and I am not mad about it

First episode reaction

I like it so far, I definately haven't seen a drama in which the main character is a fan girl. I really want to see what happens between her and her best friend. Though i must say i though he was her brother at first cus of how often he was at her house hehe

FINALLY! FEMALE LEAD TO THE RESCUE

Maybe I haven't seen enough dramas but I absolutely love the fact that she rescues him first. they are barely friends and she is coming in and rescuing him. Despite seeming ditsy she shows that under pressure and when it comes to thing that matter, she is an ACE. She is cool headed and unafraid and actually uses her head. I only hope she doesn't get caught

Ms. Independent

Everytime I watch this show the three musketeers...I love them a little more each time. Its a love triangle in which the guys do get jealous of each other but it doesn't get in the way of their friendship and there is no disconnect. Often times in dramas it seems that when the girl falls in love with one guy the best friend who feels the same way starts to pull away and the friendship is never the same. I'm glad its not the case here.

Gong Shim has her flaws but this episode really highlights her best qualities. She is independent and is vocal about any sort of injustice and to see her make such an elegant speech to being fired before running out the door. I felt so proud of her and in awe that there are dramas out there in which the girl fights for herself.

Bored

I was just really bored watching it and I found myself wondering when is it going to end. Things started to make more sense in the second part of the episode but I am still hesitant on whether this is going to be any good. I will give it another episode!

How to choose?

I really like this drama so far, it has a lot of hilarious elements. You just know that Dan Tae is the one she's going to end up with but Joon Soo is also the perfect man as well. It's very hard to choose between them because they are both so cute and great and I love that they are all friends and I hope that doesn't change. I just hope Joon Soo won't end up with that gold digger sister

Review Time!

The parents in this episode were driving me insane, I could barely keep up with what they were arguing about. Joon-hee's reveal was't all that surprising but i didn't think he'd end up liking the person that he did. After that sort of info was revealed everytime yoon-jae got jealous I felt so bad for him because I could only imagine what he must be feeling and i can't wait till he finds out it's a misunderstanding

American stereotypes...

I don't blame the show for having them because i have no doubt that if it was the other way around we'd mess up too but I shall voice my complaint! (lol) his blonde friend acts so ridiculously high and stupid and his acting is odd (why couldn't they find a better white guy to play him? they are in CA after all..) and of course there's the stereotypical abusive boyfriend..In reality I hated that they included him because I worry about whether korean people really think marrying/dating an american would be like that..I hope not..though I know that this could happen especially since many women try to escape from their lives in their country to come to america..alot of times by marrying someone they don't know.

ANYWAYS; the music was awesome and I can tell they put a lot of money towards this judging by the quality of the images and surroundings. I also was happy to see park shin hye's acting skills and I think she looks lovely:) and of course Min hyuk is adorbs! I want to see more of him :3

Age difference?

This show is really quite something but I am now beginning to get concerned.....I thought that she would temporary be 19 and then she'd age a bit but it doesn't seem like that going to happen. Even if she is supposed to be young, I wish she was at least out of high school :/ I love it all so far but that one detail bothers me....

Just when I was starting to love Sae Hee more…

Just when I was starting to love Sae Hee more and more with his honestly it sucks that Ji Ho had to eventually be hurt by him. Fake marriage is hard if you knew you are the kind of person who wants a marriage of love someday which honestly is why she shouldn't have married him. Now she may potentially drag the [stunning] new guy along. Will she tell him that she is married? Did they ever agree on having a sort of open marriage where she can date and whatnot while under contract for 2 years??? IDK T.T

Side note, I realize though who I love most in this show, it's Sae Hee's boss. He is literally awesome, hilarious, and he accepts the strong willed friend as she is.

Three Stars

This episode was not as slow and even had incorporated a very humorous and lively family meeting hehe besides that though more issues come up. Fights about love and who is right and  the clash between lifestyle choices. Is it wrong to want to be married? Should you marry only if you are in love? Should you marry at all? All this confusion has Ji Ho thinking and wondering if this really was the right decision.

The most enjoyable episode so far!

Nam Sae Hee wasn't in this episode as much as it was more focused on Yoon Ji Ho and how she was coping with  all that happened in episode 2. Once again though he shows his unusual way of providing encouragement for her...I really do think he has Asperger's though lol  I thought the ending of this episode was endearing because it was the first time that I felt that this landlord/tenant relationship is actually going somewhere. For a while there all I could really see was the convenience of being married to someone to help you get through life and provide things you need (in this case rent and shelter). This is a realistic view point but...I am watching a drama here guys lol I'm gonna need a little something something. This show really displays a lot of the struggles people in their 30s go through and although I'm not 30 yet I can understand what these characters are going through. In addition to that another great part of this show so far are her ever so supportive friends. Her friends are great each have a specific charm about them and really bounce off the main character well. All the women in this show hold nothing back and can sense injustice a mile away.

Enjoyable but still slow

What I'm getting is...that this show is going to be slow-paced. This may be a reason to stop a drama for some but if that doesn't bother you, I think it's worth continuing. So much happened in this episode in comparison to the first and it's going to escalate and I'm hoping..lively now that ***SPOILER*** they are getting married.

Slow But Pleasant

There are several things about this show so far that is refreshing and there is a strong sense of feminism in it and some dry humor which I like. In addition the guy is giving me Shelton Cooper vibes hehe. I'm hoping this show will unfold into something I'll enjoy but it's still a bit hard to tell right now since nothing truly eventful has happened.
