Needs some Work!!
I’m gonna start this by saying I realllly wanted to like this show I started it multiple times but couldn’t make it pass ep 2 bc it was just making me cringe but I finally got through it by watching it with a reactor and I was disappointed the only way I kept watching was bc I was watching with a reactor on my own I would of dropped it again. the amount of plot holes was something and no hate to pooh since this is his first lead role and all but the acting was stiff and I couldn’t feel any chemistry between babe and Charlie aside from when they were doing nc scenes, I felt more general chemistry between babe and way talking than Charlie and babe so a lot of their relationship development was forced and fast with no explanation as to why babe is feeling this way a lot of the characters were one note kind of characters so it was a tough watch but the trailer for s2 looked pretty good so hopefully they give the answers and explanationsWas this review helpful to you?

Disappointing Sequel to a Perfect First Season!
Okay so I’m gonna preface this by saying I have read both the WEBTOON Sweet home and the prequel Shotgun boy so for this second season I had to fill in a lot of gaps with this knowledge so If I was a kdrama only I would probably rate this season lower- now to the review…Season one covered basically the entire sweet home WEBTOON like basically everything except a few monsters and the firefighter/special ops woman was a new addition but they were generally pretty faithful to the original and that’s what made it so good the WEBTOON was already a masterpiece they didn’t have to do too much and the cgi was actually pretty good for a lot of the monsters it was very entertaining and where we left off at the end of the season made us very hype for this second season but sadly it didn’t deliver in a lot of aspects
Season 2 left us with more questions than answers and not the good kind of questions such as how did hyun even escape the facility after the fight with the other MH in the gangsters body sorry I’m bad with names haha but we just all of a sudden see him not a stone? And helping the firefighter take care of her baby and why their eyes turn white now instead of black? And why so much story time of these random survivors I did not like the like bunker/underground shelter story they had going I was not connected to any of those characters and felt pretty uninterested in it especially since all of the actual fan favorites died before they got there. And hyuks sister was cool with the soldier but also only really cared when she met up with hyun and was interested to see if she was actually gonna find hyuk but I did like the ending with hyuk coming out the egg, but I wish they explored more of the egg ppl aka like the evolved monster humans bc in the WEBTOON we see more of their like power that isn’t necessarily a power but they are protected by the monsters as they are the pinnacles of their being and the monsters r ppl who couldn’t overcome their desires and those who did reach the second stage so I’m glad hyuk did and he will definitely become a mastermind to the monsters but we start to see in this season the monsters organizing and working together and strategizing but they didn’t really show us like much of that since we see hyuk come out the egg at the end so now he isn’t the one who was controlling them so who was it?? And another thing the cg was much worse this season the monsters were looking obviously placed and fake and the monsters were lacking originality like why were there robot machine monsters like what desire is that the only monster we saw with some originality was the face monster who actually was from the WEBTOON but this season was entirely written from production aside from the egg ppl and hyuk being “alive” so there was a definite drop in quality since carnby kim wasn’t writing or designing the monsters for this. Such a shame but I do want to see how they do with s3 for this but the military emphasis was a bit boring especially since they didn’t even use the whole shotgun boy aspect of the origin of the monsterification or how there was already like a lab of people that had specialized ammo to kill the monsters that shotgun boy was using like what happened to all that I think if they had that like the lab people we see were those people it would of made it more compelling since they started this with “zero” and “one” who ultimately made it happen to all humans to reach their evolution so they definitely have some work to do!!

Predictable Soap Opera vibes
I started this drama just for park hyungsik that’s my man lmao, and I reallllly enjoyed changsoo and ji yi’s story line, hyungsik is naturally very funny and charismatic so it translates really well in this roll and ji yi as his counterpart matched his energy and really made the show for me. I can’t say the same for the main couple though, I found myself skipping most of their scenes just out of like boredom, I also didn’t feel as much of a connection between their characters. Also I skipped the old ppl storyline entirely it was very much filler it had no substance to the actual main storyline going on and felt like it was just taking up space to fill up the 16eps. I will say it’s worth giving it a try but it’s not the best and not the worst, it’s definitely cute for the second leads like they definitely saved the show for me. Had me giggling and rolling around watching them two.Was this review helpful to you?

FYI THIS IS A RANT
So I just finished watching the show, the crew that won was so deserving I truest don’t think any other crew was as consistent and amazing all 10 episodes as the crew that won!!! HOWEVER I have a bone to pick with the show, starting from ep 1 I will go over my peeves of the show that made me lower the score and just generally how I felt watching itSo to start I think the crews were too rude and it made me not actually care for any of them bc of how they were talking, it is part of the reason it took awhile for me to even like WDBZ bc of how ingyoo would speak in the confessional videos. Also felt like some battles aka kinky vs yongjun didn’t need a rematch!!
Moving further I feel like prime kingz shouldn’t have lost the leader battle like that baffled me it also didn’t need a rematch either and even though it went there I still think trix did enough also the group battle the creativity with the shoe likeeee come on now. But b2b is a good crew so I moved past it
Vata stealing the say my name riding choreo for his also ticked me off real bad as an ATINY but again moved past it, I didn’t have much issue with ygx leaving I feel that was a given for that situation but it was sad regardless I don’t think they got the respect they deserved but that mega crew choreo was a bit lacking there as well as b2b but they did enough ig but speaking of the mega crew battle WDBZ deserved more points I think their use of the wheel stage was the best and it was just all around a good performance but moving on
1million was being paid dust and it hurt to watch bc I think they have had some of the best choreo the whole time along with just jerk but I feel like it isn’t really acknowledged the way it should be like in the MUSE challenge I can’t stress how hard it was to see mbitious who gave a lackluster performance Be ranked 1st bc they have the most views like bffr this is supposed to be a dance competition yet a group consistently scoring below from the judges in that challenge makes first and a top ranking team gets eliminated
That was obviously mnet not wanting their home team gone before the finale, which all goes back full circle that I think regardless of all the drama I think the best crew did win.

Not for everyone
So this show was a rollercoaster to get through, I watched eps 1-6 on my own and really wasn’t vibing with the show I didn’t like the nuea toh storyline and for as much as I loved the jao and sky storyline it wasn’t enough to keep me going past ep 6. But after a very long months break from the show I recently came back to it watching it with a friend and it helped to watch it with someone so I actually got through it and it definitely gets better as a show after ep 7 like ep 8 and on were the best eps but In the end I still didn’t fully like the nuea toh story I just didn’t really take to it or feel much of anything. I don’t think the chemistry was like all the way there but it could be that toh is just an awkward character that sometimes the chemistry gets a little cringey. I thought the sky jao scenes in ep 12/13 were better in terms of build up to it. Overall a solid show that takes some like faith to get through. Was this review helpful to you?
