Cute Korean drama, but that's it

When I started watching Meow I fell in love with the general pace and story of this drama but the half-end was kinda disappointing...
I really enjoyed the first half of this series, it had everything: cats, romance, handsome main leads, adorable female lead... I also loved Ji Eun's character the most, I found her so funny and cute, I could relate her introverted cutesy kind of personality since most of my friends are like this including me. She's the best!!!
As I read somewhere, this drama had that old kdrama feel to it at the beginning, still I wasn't that much satisfied and I had to skip lots of scenes because I was bored. The main couple was cute but I liked the other couple more, probably because I consider their acting was much better than the main leads. Still everything felt a bit too rushed, even the secondary couple story.

I would recommend the drama just to kill time if you're bored or you want a fresh splash of cute romance in-between more heavy dramas!

Fave dating reality show so far!

Woah... This was such an enjoyable and distressing watch. Don't expect anything but pain from this.
It is one of those shows that you just watch expecting nothing but quick entertainment but ends up leaving you thinking about it more than expected. Honestly, this is the first time I've cried with a Korean dating reality show, it was such an experience seeing the different layers regarding a breakup aftermath and how all the couples dealt with it.

Personally, there were some of their stories I could relate a lot and by putting me on a spectator point of view had me retrospect so much about my own experiences as well, so much I was able to understand my past experiences even more and kind of made me feel nostalgic like they were feeling all the time. Please, if you enjoy realistic sort of dating shows and pain go watch it, no doubts, especially now that finally subtitles are available.

Needless to say, my heart still aches for some of them...

BEST BL EVER!!!!

Make Our Days Count has definitely become one of my fave BLs of all time, I love me some angsty scenes and cute fluffy love stories.
The chemistry between the actors was brilliant, I could feel how comfortable they were acting together. Both couples felt real to me and didn't felt rushed whatsoever. There's usually something lacking in bl shows whether the actors acting, the plot line or the production quality, but with this one, everything was so good. The plot and characters development were really well made, plus the actors being really talented, every emotion felt real.
The only complain I would have is that the ending broke my heart into lil pieces but other than that, this is really worth giving a try!

Kudos to the actors, the director and writer of this show!

best korean drama of 2020, period.

"To make the people around me happy, I have to be happy first.’ So being selfish isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If it’s too hard, just think about your own happiness.”

Finally after so long I found another kdrama that stole my breath the second I started watching it. This hasn't happened since my fave kdrama came out (It's Okay That's Love) but the long wait was completely worth it.

The story in this drama is really well-thought, I can't complain about anything. I might be a bit biased but I don't care, I tend to rate things out of enjoyment and how it makes me feel and this gets a 10/10. For me it's 100% worth it from beginning to end, you can see the development of the characters throughout the series and even if I expected some of the plot twists, I still loved how the story developed. The concept of 'healing' kinda made me think about myself and could relate to most of what some characters where going through so in a way it was a healing show to me that gave me happiness whenever I watched it. As Sang-tae tries to remind his young brother; you belong to yourself and only yourself. I belong to myself. You can carry traumas for the longest and it's okay to be sad and to get hurt but you need to let go, being stuck on the past will never give you happiness. Everything depends on you. Such a beautiful lesson I got from watching this. Also, the relationship between the main trio felt so wholesome, they made me cry, laugh and get angry with them. An amount of feelings that gave me a rollercoaster ride every time. I'll always remember them.

Such a good comeback to the drama world from Kim Soo Hyun. I missed him in dramas more than I thought. Amazing acting from him and the rest of the cast. All of them deserve an award, especially, Oh Jung Se... his talent is beyond this world! Being able to interpret an autistic person in such a respectful way, kudos to him. I felt the brother's story and relationship close to home since I've grown up with an autistic family member and I know how hard it can be. Brilliant acting, just mesmerising.
And can't end this without mentioning the amazing OST. I already made a playlist that I keep on replaying and replaying all the time *chef's kiss*.

Congrats to the cast, director and screenwriter for such an amazing work, thank you for such a heartwarming experience.

cute lighthearted rom-com but has some bothering flaws.

This is the first modern cdrama I enjoy after watching meteor garden (2018) two years ago. The reason I decided to watch this one is for obvious reasons: Darren Chen e_e he will always remind me of when I travelled to China back in 2018. Anyway, usually I am not into cdramas because I just get bored and they tend to be quite long in comparison to kdramas.

Overall I ended up loving this one despite being so cliché and I didn't plan to write a review for this one but I feel the need to mention some things that I kind of found disturbing since I haven't seen a single soul mentioning them and it's something needed to be mentioned and make them accountable, like we're in 2020, these things shouldn't happen -.-

So here comes my rant,
In general when the genre is gender bender, there's this little "confusion" of both ML and FL seen as gays from others' eyes and usually it's resolved without much comments about it and played in an 'innocent' way. Sure I can always buy that, but in this one I just couldn't handle how homophobic everything was. The on-going comments undermining homophobia just killed my respect for the writer/director. Let me give you two examples that I vividly remember, first one when second ML Wei Lian started having feelings for the FL, unknown that she was a girl, he went (kinda horrified by the idea) to see his friend (the ice skater girl) and ask for advice. What was her response? "If you have those feelings for a woman it's obviously that you're in love with her but if it happens that you're attracted to a man, it's just because you look up to that person, a role model" ... excuse me? as if a man could not fall in love with another man... The audacity of completely cancelling homosexuality as if it doesn't exist literally disgusted me :'). The other one that bothered me to the bones was when Sang Tian and Wen Bing were talking about their relationship with Wen Bing's mum and she kept mentioning that since Sang Tian is still disguised as a man, they should behave with each other like 'men' do and not like a couple... I just .... (insert the two eyes and mouth emoji here). Like yes, we all know that LGBT community in China is completely rejected (ehem..censorship...ehem) and seen as a 'bad thing' but come on, this is so homophobic that I wanted to slap whoever wrote that sh*t. It makes me feel truly sad, always thinking what if someone confused with their sexuality happened to watch this cdrama? Those ignorant comments can hurt so much, it just blows my mind...

Leaving those aside, the cdrama is really entertaining and had this Hana Kimi vibes all throughout it but yeah, I couldn't ignore what was obvious. I gave this one a 8 plainly for the fact that it made me feel like I was in 2011 watching all those gender bender dramas like Coffee Prince, To The Beautiful You, You're Beautiful... but could've been higher if it wasn't for what I mentioned.

what a masterpiece!

it has been a year since the release of this chinese drama and i kept being hesitant to watch it until now just because i am a bit picky when something is so hyped up, i tend to get disappointed as soon as it’s too hyped. but well, i decided to give it a try and, oh boy, can’t believe i nearly missed on this amazing work of art.

this is my first wuxia ever, usually i never give historical genre a try since i always get bored of them so my expectations for this one were low on the first place due to my annoying ass. after finishing it, i’m so happy this was my first one and, shockingly enough, i know for a fact that this has become my favourite chinese drama of all time.

not gonna lie, i struggled at the beginning since i wasn’t used to wuxias and the visual effects are a bit deceiving /what’s with them spilling blood from everywhere???/ but don’t get deceived by these small things, the story and journey is just brilliant.

first of all, the characters are amazingly portrayed by the actors. i could feel their emotions just by looking a them. at first i was very confused by the huge amount of new characters popping in and out like there was no tomorrow but once i got used to it, i truly enjoyed everyone! no secondary story from the characters felt unnecessary, i enjoyed every bit of it. lwj and wwx will always have a place in my heart from now on, the development of their relationship is so beautifully done, i couldn’t care less about the china censorship, you can still sense how deeply they loved each other, thank you yibo and xiao zhan for portraying their characters so well!
the main antagonists were a pleasure to see, their background and entire stories, chef’s kiss! i adored the episodes with xue yang & xiao xingchen, i felt the pain like it was mine. also, i really like characters like jiang chen, tormented kids that become insecure due to continuously comparing themselves with others instead of seeing their true value, letting jealousy and resentment lead their actions... such a draco malfoy kind of character! *sorry for my hp reference lol*.

then the story, wow... i literally am left speechless after finishing it! it’s one of the few dramas i haven’t skipped a single bit of it. it was consistent and entertaining throughout the entire series, i might even read the novel at this point since i loved the story so much. special mention to the last ten episodes, every second of it was worth rewatching it, they were a true gem!

the ost; brilliant, painfully beautiful, dazed by it. i could have the entire ost including all the instrumentals on a loop for an eternity and i would be happy for the rest of my life c: at first i skipped the intro all the time but after some episodes i couldn’t resist it and had to watch the entire intro because the song just gave me the feels.

overall, i highly suggest to give this a try no matter what your taste is, it’s a gem and deserves all the hype it got back then (and still has). i’m probably gonna keep rewatching my favourite scenes while i’m sipping on my tea, tearing up because of their perfection.
anyway, the untamed... i tried to give you up because of the hype but you won.

Comfort drama <3

I have been a faithful reader of the webtoon since a year ago and always waited for them to pick it up and release a kdrama based on it. I fell in love with the cast choice since the beginning, they were so spot on on every character, specially Seo Jun and Su Ho. I have to say that even if i enjoyed Gayoung as Im Ju Gyeong, she's so beautiful that I never saw that much change between Ju Gyeong with or without makeup ;_;.

I knew that despite being so cliché I was gonna love it and that's what happened, I was waiting every single week for the release of new episodes and I was very pleased with the whole plot til the end. The show did it very well entertaining wise, I never skipped a single scene and that's really never common on me that I usually watch lots of dramas and tend to skip unnecessary scenes. This time every character here was fun to watch, especially Ju Gyeong's sister and brother storyline, they were so funny I couldn't stop laughing every time they were on the screen. I even loved the parents scenes. Of course, my fave character has always been Seo Jun, he is lovely both here and in the webtoon. I truly felt so sad at how dirty they did to Seo Jun in the kdrama storyline. Knowing what actually happens in the webtoon, that it's the complete opposite, I guess the Suho-Ju Gyeong ship really fit the kdrama plot they were hinting since the beginning so I have no complaints because it was also lovely to see their relationship and how they made Ju Gyeong very loyal to her feelings with no stupid doubts regarding both Seo Jun and Su Ho, lovely to see that.

The OST was amazingly chosen, I made a playlist to listen to it because the songs ended up stuck in my head the entire day after watching an episode. I'm In The Mood For Dancing has been my jam since its release, and all the songs sang by Cha Eun Woo, Hwang In Yeop and Cha Ni!!! A blessing I'd say.

I don't mind if this review is a bit biased ( I already loved the cast (big fan of Eun Woo here) and story before it even started) because since it didn't disappointed me and made me feel very happy every week I gave this kdrama a higher rating than I expected. I am definitely gonna rewatch this from time to time whenever I need something light and happy to space out. Definitely gonna be sad knowing that I won't get new episodes from now on. Good job True Beauty team!!!! I'll be looking forward to the cast next projects <3 <3 (might have turned into Hwang In Yeop enthusiast after this)

The right ending for this series

First of all, I still feel disappointed by the ending that 2gether gave us so I was very shocked when they released the news about it getting 5 extra episodes since it got a lot of criticism.
I decided to give it the chance of the doubt because of first episodes from main series were actually enjoyable. After finishing these special eps I’m glad they decided to expand the story and fix what we pointed out. This was such a cute and good feeling special. All the other couples felt less plain and more believable, I still love ManType the most out of the whole series.
What did it for me here is that I couldn’t see Sarawat and Tine’s chemistry at all when I finished the series and that made it so frustrating to watch by the end, but in these special eps you can clearly see how the actors feel more comfortable with each other and felt more like a real couple! I just adored watching domestic day-to-day scenes in their relationship, that made it complete. Also, Mil and Phukong story line was cute here, not painful like in the main series where I kept pitying Phukong 99% of the time.

Although I must say that P’Dim and Green’s relationship makes no sense, such a toxic couple they shouldn’t be together if they can’t stand each other, to be honest. I actually disliked P’Dim’s character a LOT here, he was so abusive and aggressive all the time towards Green and others for no reason like he needed some chill pills -_-
Aaaaand... what was going on with Tine’s character development? He was such a mess I was really confused, I didn’t get his personality since he wasn’t anything like the Tine that was presented to us at the beginning of the series. That felt odd and kind of a miss for me.

I was pleasantly surprised at Bright’s acting in this one, it got so much better and he interpreted Sarawat amazingly. Weirdly enough, Sarawat didn’t left a mark on me in the main series but ended up being my fave character in these five episodes! Great job I’d say. Plus, the music was really good, like in the main series. Bright played a big role on that since he was singing most of it! I am still jamming on 2gether/Still 2gether songs atm.

Moreover, glad that they hired this director (P’aof) since he’s already well known from doing such good bls like He’s Coming To Me and DBK! And he did it again in this one. Overall, acting got much better and felt more real, best directing and script, cute fluffy moments with all the couples, etc. Lots of reasons that make me want to pretend 2gether ends on episode 8 and continues on Still 2gether episode 1. Still 2gether has left a good taste after all the bitterness that 2gether kept dragging with its ending.
