Ossan's Love Thailand is doing it's own thing, in a very good way. The influence of the original Japanese series is still very present and palpable, but Ossan and Mo's reasons for falling for Heng have been given a backstory that makes this series a bit different, but equally compelling. It's still wacky comedy with an unexpected depth. Ep 2 really showed how quickly Heng adapted to having Mo around and the beginnings of his conflicts about his feelings, which likely also foreshadow his conflicts with sexuality in the future. I expected a lot more of a unexpected and unserious series, but its been handled with a little more delicacy that refreshing. Unfortunately this seems to be escaping some viewers.
