Kisses for Lee Thanat
I liked the series, Lee Thanat is hot! Boom is my favorite character, not only because she's interesting, but also because she really stands up for herself and I felt horrible for all the slutshaming she had to endure from those creepy guys throughout the WHOLE season. I mean, does the author hate her??? The poor woman couldn't have 1 minute of peace without getting verbally harrassed by some random dude. At least she always defended herself and didn't let them opress her. Am is also a character I really like. She suffered a lot as well, being deceived by her boyfriend, having to give her mother money, getting suddenly pregnant and being in a dilemma about getting an abortion or not. I would support any decision she made, and it's cute that she chose to keep the child. I hope the baby grows loved by her, since she is a lovely person who deserves the best. About the central protagonist, Boyo, I don't really have much to say. I relate to some of her feelings, but I really thought she was a bad friend to Boom several times. Calling her a slut unprovokedly and thinking Boom was a prostitute, like NOT IRONICALLY, shows a lot about her impression of her so-called best friend. Besides that, I think she and Good have potential, even though they are an emotional mess. Good is hot and that's all he needs!
About the love triangle with Stud, Sam and Earth: Stud is indeed a needy person and couldn't stand coexisting with a happy but broken couple, so he took the opportunity to try to feel something since he was already attracted to Sam, and Sam unfortunately was weak and an asshole by cheating on Earth. I know long relationships aren't always easy, because couples sometimes fade out as years go by, but come on, Earth tried his best to hold onto this, and Sam was already annoyed by the whole situation, so it was no surprise that he felt tempted to hook up with Stud, a new and attractive person in his life who didn't need his attention all the time. Both of them are wrong, and Earth had the right to feel upset, but obviously I wouldn't act like he did, trying to get revenge or something. It just makes him seem childish, when he should be classy to show them he is superior. I don't like Singto but his acting is never something I complain about. The actors made this work pretty well.
Now, one thought I should emphasize here is: not every drama needs to end with the couples getting back together. Tor and Bern are complete assholes who evolved magically??? One was completely rude all the time with his girlfriend and never defended her. The other literally stole money from his girlfriend's bank account (that she shared with him but still) to pay debts he knew he wouldn't be able to pay back soon pleeease! To be honest, I kinda thought Boom and Bern were cute, but I still didn't like him in a relationship. At least he was better than Tor, this one has so much to learn... The ending was really rushed, suddenly all of them got back together and I didn't like that. Earth still loves Sam but in his place I wouldn't get back with him, like... it's so "corno manso" of him. Well, if he thinks it's the right decision, who am I to judge, right? The only couple I wouldn't complain about is Good and Boyo because all they did this season was sleeping together a couple of times and looking at each other, and as I said before, they have potential.
Obs.: "Corno" is a term for someone who was cheated on. And "manso" means calm, so "corno manso" is a brazilian term to make fun of people who get cheated on 1 or several times but still wants to be in a relationship with the cheater.
To conclude, it's a likeable series that I had fun watching, the stories were captivating and I always wanted to know what was going to happen next. I hope Friend Zone 2 is as good or even better, because I'm starting to watch it in a few days! And then let's see how these creatures are doing.
