So I mainly watch C-dramas as it's a lot more convenient for me as I don't need subtitles. However, I have also explored a little into the realms of Korean dramas. I have come to the conclusion that Chinese dramas are much longer (and more likely to drag on) than the Korean counterparts (which are sometimes a little rushed). Either way, I have found dramas that have paced themselves well and others that haven't.

I have little patience for romance dramas that are extremely melodramatic and usually prefer a faster paced/action drama.

Ratings:

10 - Loved it! Great acting and story that had me mindblown for days afterwards.

9/9.5 - Really enjoyed it - there may have been minor flaws but it didn't take away too much from the overall story.

8.5 - Enjoyed it quite a bit but some more flaws that were sometimes distracting.

8 - Good story but some flaws - would probably not re-watch but it leaves you feeling satisfied enough.

7.5 - Interesting enough to get through and somewhat enjoy but not to rewatch.

7 - This is where I start having regrets watching it in the first place - story is most likely unoriginal or just not well written and I finished the drama feeling unsatisfied.
