I have mixed reactions about this drama. The first 8-10 episodes were too good. It was realistic with a decent plot & had so many heart fluttering moments. The chemistry between the two leads is GREAT & both the actors did a very good job.
The first half was great but
but then everything went downhill after that.I had to force myself to sit down & watch each episode. Disappointing coz I had lots of expectations & I really adored this drama.
I think the main issue was that there wasn't enough plot to fill 16 episodes so they created unnecessary drama towards the end.
If I could just rate just the first half , I would rate it 8.5/10
It had potentials to be a great drama but the writers ruined it.

It's complicated. I've many complaints but I still loved it a lot.
This show was truly a rollercoaster ride for me.. It started with me finding it boring to loving it & then being frustrated while still loving it a lot.So I started watching this show as soon as the first episode aired. I knew the plot didn't really make any sense but I was ready to ignore that because I wanted something light & cute & I hoped this was gonna be that. But honestly the first 4 episodes were pretty pointless & bit boring to me. I was struggling to enjoyt it. There were no real developments & nothing was happening. It just didn't click for me..also the episodes are too short so there isn't enough substance in a single episode to keep you hooked. So after episode 5 I decided to drop it with no plans of ever watching it again.
Some 3 weeks later I came across a clip from episode 8 ( yeah that beautiful last scene ) & that got me all in the feels. I couldn't control myself & ended up binge watching episode 6 ,7 & 8. I enjoyed it so much & that's when I started adoring the show & the main couple. I realised how the initial episodes which I found boring were actually necessary for the build-up of the main couple's love story. I love slow burn & angsty romances & this was exactly that.
The way the relationship between Yuzhen & Shilei developed was so natural unlike most bls. It wasn't forced & they fell in love with eo gradually. It felt real .. them & their story managed to give me butterflies & that happens quite rarely to me nowadays. & I think it has more to do with the actors Aaron & Hank & less with the lackluster script
Episodes 8 & 9 were one of my faves but after that I started having more complaints. I wanted more moments between the main leads, even if it was them fighting. I just wanted them to get their shit together, talk & resolve all the misunderstandings. also confess to eo & get together so that I could see them being all cute & in love. But we weren't properly getting enough of them. They brought the ex bf too late in the storyline.I understood he was just a plot device to bring yuzhen & shilei closer but instead his presence was just creating misunderstandings & driving them farther away from eo. & the second leads..honestly I didn't care abt them or their storyline. They got together so I guess their story had more or less reached a conclusion so I couldn't understand why the screenwriters felt it was a good idea to waste screentime on them in an already short episode when that time could've been used to explore Yuzhen & Shilei's feelings, unresolved matters & their story. I didn't want the show to have a rushed ending where the leads gets together at the very end. So I wanted them to get together soon & was craving to see them as a couple & thus the draggy storyline was just getting on my nerves. But then I was loving it too.. yeah I know I'm contradicting myself here but I've already mentioned earlier that I love slow burns & this was just catering to that need. My biggest problem with the show is the extremely short runtime of the episodes. They were too short to explore the complexities of the storyline & the feelings of our main leads. Just when something exciting happens the episode ends & then we've to wait another week for the next episode. This show should've been longer or perhaps they should've just increased the episodes' durations.. that would've saved many of us from a lot of frustrations & headaches.
Now abt the ending.. we all knew we were gonna get a rushed ending but that didn't stopped me from being overly excited for it. The last episode was no doubt very good & certainly one of my fav along with episode 8 & 9 but it was weirdly edited. So the ex was just there to help Yuzhen realise his feelings & act on them. that was a bit predictable. Also ShiLei conspired together with him.. but when did that happen. I really would've liked if they showed how ShiLei agreed to his plan. anyways..I loved seeing Yuzhen panicking at the thought of loosing ShiLei & him rushing to him to confess . Wish the writers did it an episode or two earlier & then we could've got to see more of them as a couple. The scene in the bridge was abruptly cut after the kiss. I would've loved to see them talk but we didn't get that. Then the next scene of them was the bed scene.. which was hot. but how did they get to that ? a little something before that would've been so good. But my fav was the last scene.. It was so so good. Loved seeing them being so happy & in love with eo. Their convo, the smiles on both their faces , the hugs .. everything just filled me with so much happiness. & it's so heartbreaking that we got so little of that. It's like we finally got everything we wanted but not enough. They clowned us for weeks with that slow burn so we really deserved more.. not much but atleast 1-2 episodes of just them being happy. I really wanted to see more of them as boyfriends.
Somehow this episode filled me with so much happiness but also left me feeling empty. I need more of them. I'm not yet ready to say goodbye to them. I wish the rumours abt episode 13 were true. I hope we really get to see more of Yuzhen & ShiLei's love story.. maybe a special or a season 2 asap.
Despite all its shortcomings & my several complaints abt the show I can't deny that I really really loved the show. So normally I would've rated this 7 or lower but my love for Yuzhen & Shilei made me increase the rating by 1+. Aaron & Hank did such a great job with whatever little material they got & they made this show into a memorable experience for me. Their chemistry together is phenomenal & it's such a shame that it wasn't utilised to its full potential. I'm always gonna be bitter about that. Their performance as Yuzhen & ShiLei felt so genuine & those characters literally conquered my mind for weeks. I'd literally think abt them at random times in a day & that would always bring a smile on my face. I couldn't help but imagine the possibilities of what the show could've been if it was a little better written.
I've already rewatched all its episodes several times & enjoyed them more each time. That's cos I binged watched several episodes at once. It's one of those series you can't really watch episode by episode but it's actually damn enjoyable if you binge watch the episodes. So everyone who's gonna binge watch it is surely gonna love it.

just gonna delete few episodes from my memory or pretend that this series don't even exist.
The part one of this series "I Told Sunset About You" was something that left a deep impression on me & was among my top 3 2020 faves. I even rated it a perfect 10. So imagine my excitement for this series & the expectations I had with it. I was looking forward to this series for almost half a year but now I think that it would've been better if itsay ended just like that without any part 2.I tried not to but I can't help myself from comparing this series with itsay. maybe it was a fairly good series & I'd have enjoyed it more if it wasn't related to itsay. My expectations for this series were so high & it didn't live upto them. It didn't have that magic itsay had.. maybe it's cos of the change in the director or maybe cos of the story & the change in location. This series even made me question my love for itsay . anyways let me explain how it went wrong for me & why I'm so disappointed with it.
episode 1 was okayish imo but I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected to so I thought it would get better in the coming episodes. but it didn't improve & then the "cheating" happened in episode 3. that shit made me mad , heartbroken & disappointed. I lost all interest in the series & was so pissed at the scripwriters for including that completely unnecessary plot in the love story of ohaew & teh. I wanted to see them happily together after all that angst in itsay. ofc I was prepared for minor conflicts but "cheating" ? couldn't they think of anything else to move the story forward ?
also the storytelling style in this series was a major reason that it didn't click for me. The time jumps completely ruined the development of the story and stopped me from really enjoying and connecting with the story or even with the characters.
After episode 3 I stopped caring about how the series was gonna end. When I thought about the leads as teh & ohaew from itsay I wanted them to somehow end up together but I felt so conflicted. I couldn't get my mind of that cheating incident.
The last episode - it was nice seeing the old gang again & the ending was pretty decent considering the mess they made in the previous episodes. If only they didn't ruin everything with that cheating plot.
I don't wanna loose my love for itsay cos of the disappointed I got from ipytm & to do that I'll do the following things depending on my mood. sometimes I'm gonna pretend that episodes 2-4 didn't happen & teh & ohaew separated for some stupid reasons & then they got back together in the last episode or sometimes I'll just pretend this series never existed or is a completely diff series unrelated to itsay. & the itsay teh & ohaew are happily together in some other universe which don't include any of them cheating.

it's cute & all but that's it..
While I've watched bls from gmmtv & really liked few of them , my overall opinion about the company & the type of bls it produces isn't that good. So I tend to avoid watching their contents. When I decided to watch this series I just wanted to see how it is & didn't have much expectations. Honestly I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first few episodes but the series as a whole wasn't that fun for me.The main lead Pi & his stupid antics during the first few episodes were so much fun to watch.
& then Pi's bro Duean.. he's such a crackhead always leading his bro to embarrassing situations with his dumb aadvices. also his love story was funny too. & the way the story switches between the main couple & the second couple was interesting & hilarious. But then as the story moved forward everything stopped being fun & I realised I wasn't enjoying it anymore. The couples are cute & all but I couldn't form any emotional connection with the characters & I realised there's nothing new in the plot that I haven't watched before.
Still I decided to complete it because I didn't have much episodes left to watch. At one point I just wanted to know how everything is going to end & I kept fast forwarding & skipping scenes.
Yeah it's cute & all but honestly the story don't have much depth. Watch it if you want something light & have lots of time to spare. You may or may not enjoy it. It depends on your mood & taste.

this is so good
I thought this was gonna be just like the majority of thai bls out there so I had plans to watch but I was so wrong. So I decided to watch this drama on a whim when I came across a tweet that mentioned sibgene being an unproblematic bl couple & how their relationship was the healthiest.I enjoyed it a lot & it goes to top of my 2021 fav list & not just 'bl' list. It's completely different from most bls out there & is on a whole league of its own. What I liked most about this series was the way it sort of exposed the capitalist machinery driving the bl industry & the toxic fan culture. The way fans ship two leads of a bl & the stuffs the actors are forced to do in the name of fanservice always irked me about the bl industry & I hope people watch this series & learn something.
Ofc it's not a perfect drama & has its flaws but it gave me so many feeeeeeelings. It's well executed & performed & it hardly had any boring moments. Also I've realised that I had a smile on my face most of the time while watching it.

definitely a good watch but I feel it's a bit overrated
there's no doubt that it's a good drama but I've mixed opinions abt it. I had some big expectations from it because how successful it was & how everyone was praising but once I was done watching it I didn't know what to feel. Ofcourse enjoyed it & didn't hate it but I also didn't loved it the way some people I knew did.Maybe it's cos of my high expectations or maybe I was not in the right mood for it when I watched it.
So the first half was more or less entertaining but later the plot became a bit repetitive in my opinion & everything was all over the place. I really feel I would've enjoyed it more if it had lesser episodes.
It's definitely a good drama & deserves a watch but just don't expect too much.

it's good but ...
okay so I've had mixed opinions about this series over the past one year. The first time I watched it was exactly a year ago & at that time I didn't really enjoy it much. It was okayish imo & I wondered why some people seem to loved it a lot. I went into it with lots of expectations cos of all the great reviews about it in various social media sites & it didn't really live upto it. I found the hazing & university stuffs annoying & fast forwarded through most of the first half. I only stayed for the main couple.. loved the dynamic between them & how their relationship developed. But months after watching it I found myself rewatching clips of Arthit-Kongpob or their edits in Youtube. I realised that I prefer watching their contents more than edits of bl pairs of shows I enjoyed more.My opinions about bl series have hanged a lot since April 2020 ( this is when I watched my first bl) . When I first started watching them I preferred those stupid ones but now I've realised how shallow they were & a lot of them were problematic too. But the love stories of series like Sotus , DBK etc had depth & felt more real.
Sotus may not be one of the best series in terms of story but the main couple & the way their relationship develops is worth giving it a watch.
I still stand by my opinion that I didn't really enjoy the hazing & the other University stuffs. It really bored me but I understand that it was an integral part of the main leads' story. Ofc I won't be able to rewatch this whole series ever but yeah I do keep rewatching Arthit-Kongpob's sweet moments & other edits of them in Youtube

decent watch
So when I first saw the trailer I found the whole thing so stupid & felt this was just gonna a super cringey drama full of all the kdrama cliches & tropes. I had no plans to watch it but the reactions of people on twitter made me watch it. I still had no expectations from it so I was fairly suprised when this turned out to be a decent watch. Ofcourse the whole hologram stuffs & everything else may seem unrealistic but this was what the main premise was about so I decided not to question anything & just focus on the drama. The first half was fast paced & pretty entertaining but it got a bit dramatic in the second half which could've been avoided. I had to do some fast forwarding to move past those draggy stuffs.
Overall it was a good watch for me & I enjoyed it. Yeah it's a bit cliche but everything's so well done with decent acting by the cast that the final product turned out to be pretty good.

deserves a watch
it has an interesting premise & it kept me on the edge from start to finish. The plot's unpredictable & each episode has some new plot twist & a lesson to offer to the viewers. The drama kept me engrossed till the last episode & it was quite a good watch for me.The drama convey some really strong messages that's quite relevant to the present times & it really makes you think.
Most of the cast members performed quite well though some bits felt overacted but overall it was good. This is really a good drama & it deserves a watch

worth watching if you loved Sotus
I found the first half of it a bit draggy & honestly I had no interest in the side plots or the office stuffs. I wanted the series to just focus on the main leads. It did got better as the series progressed & the later half of it had a really good storyline that made watching this series worthwhile. For me it was an okayish watch & also I only watched Arthit & Kongpob scenes or scenes that affected their story. I didn't care about the rest of it but made sure that I had a gist of what was happening. So the scenes which didn't feature the main leads were mostly on fast forward or 2x mode.

watch it when you need something short, cute & light-hearted
I really enjoyed it a lot & it made me wonder why didn't I watch it sooner but a huge part of me is glad that I didn't watch it before. This was perfect for my current mood. Lately I don't feel like watching anything so I needed something short & light-hearted that doesn't require too much thinking but it's not too stupid or cringey. After spending hours finding something to watch this caught my attention & I decided to just give it a try. I was hooked from the very first episode & completed it in one sitting.I loved it a lot. Ofcourse the plot has nothing new to offer & it's predictable most of the times but it never bores you. It manages to be exciting & refreshing even with all those cliche kdrama tropes & I think the credit for it goes to both the lead actors.
This definitely deserves a watch. Saved it for those days when you don't feel like watching your usual heavy kdramas & need something light-hearted. This will serve as a quick dose of romance & will maybe uplift your mood. :)

overall a good series
okay this was a rollercoaster ride of emotions .. the first few episodes were so frustrating I swear that I almost thought of dropping it but I'm glad I didn't. The way the plot progressed & the way the characters developed, it made me appreciate the series. Ofc I've few complains but if I judge it only on the basis of the writing , story & the performances it's no doubt a good series.P.S I wrote this review exactly one year after I watched the series & my opinions about the series is more or less the same as it was one year ago. So I guess this says something too ..

I liked it but ..
so I've mixed opinions about this. I watched it while it was still airing & this was technically my first ever "bl". I remember how I binged the first 6 episodes in one sitting & the whole genre was a whole new experience for me which I enjoyed a lot. It did make the early quarantine days a bit bearable for me. I also remember thinking that I made a mistake by watching it too soon before the whole series was over cos I didn't wanna suffer every week for new episodes... yeah that's how much I loved it. But then once I started watching it every week my excitement for the series kept going down too. This series suffer from a very bad case of second half. The first half was so good which raised my expectations but it went a bit downhill as the show progressed imo. I still enjoyed the series as a whole but I admit that it did got a bit messy in the second half.My overall rating for the series is 7 now but it used to be 8 a year ago. At that time I rated it on the basis of how much I enjoyed the first half but now that I look back I realise the second half did ruin the series for me . There's no doubt it's a fun series & I'm sure majority will have a good time watching it but I still feel the second half could've been so much better
