Improvement

I was unsure after episode 1 when or how the show would expand. Episode 1 felt a bit gratuitous, but Episode 2 really starts to bring it together, and the NC scenes feel more in line with the storyline. It starts to pick up in this episode and continues in episode 3 to expand on uncovering the world in which many people find themselves.

Mystery to unfold

This first episode set a tone for a mystery to be unfolded, lots of looks and glares hint at untold stories and narratives. Mai knew something bad could or would happen and the question is why and what? Did she really do it or is she covering for something?
