I just can’t do it anymore
I’m not one to write a bad review just to pick something apart. Unfortunately this is the drama that just has everything I dislike from recent popular tropes etc.I didn’t think the actors are inherently bad. I think the characters are badly written and don’t give them a lot to work with. They feel shallow even if they have background info and some “character development”.
The main couple massively lacks chemistry unfortunately. Both are good looking people but there is no spark between the characters. It felt very forced. The other two-ish couples are odd. I skipped over the doctor and assistant very often and I would have skipped over the Yinan + FL’s best friend if it wasn’t important to some of the plot.
The super power just felt very extra and unnecessary to the plot eventually. The show in general just fizzled out for me. The beginning was rocky and I don’t mind flash backs but it was uncoordinated and awkward sometimes. I think I expected better editing or production maybe.
It’s just a very rough, under produced Chinese drama that falls flat for me. In all transparency, I made it to episode 20 (out of 24) and had been skipping so much or watching on 1.5 speed, that is realized I really didn’t care how it all ended.
On to something new I guess.
If you curious, watch the first five or so episodes and see how it had you feeling.

Pros and cons
Slight trigger warnings: kind of sexual assault (forced kissing, not taking no for an answer)So the trigger warning is a complex one because the forced kisses fit the story and the desperation of the character but they still made me feel uncomfy. Maybe it's just because I am sensitive to those things and I don't romanticize them at all.
With that out of the way, I like this show and I was disappointed that China's censorship laws put a stop to the show. It feel pretty complete though it was supposed to have another 3 episodes or something around that number. I enjoyed the character and relationship development from this show. I also appreciate how controversial it is (China's government is homophobic and even some of their apps have removed multiple LGBT+ tags and pages. I don't mean that all Chinese people are homophobic!) Now that that disclaimer is over, the Plot of the story isn't messy, it is easy to follow. I like both of the main leads a lot, but unfortunately they can't work together in the future due to the previously mentioned issues. BL dramas can be a bit too perfect (like relationship wise, life style wise) and this one is the total opposite and is very relatable.
The music in the show is top notch and does a a great job, a bit like it was made as a movie sound track. The emotions are very well connected.
It is 100% worth the watch and I hope you get it a chance.

Surprisingly good
I didn't expect to like this very much if I am being honest. But it was the realistic kind of ending I wanted to see.Story: the plot centers around Hanabi and Mugí, two high school students that have unrequited loves for two different teachers at their school. The two characters have drastically different plot lines in those unrequited loves and the most uncomfortable part for me was Mugi's relationship with the teacher. I am not very comfortable with those scenarios in any drama/ show and I hadn't really expected the show to go there so... the other uncomfortable thing for me is sexualización of characters that are minors. I am from a western country that is just as guilty of it but when it is an adult and a minor it is even more uncomfortable.
*this show has a lot of sexual content between lots to characters*
Hanabi and Mugi start "dating each other basically to distract themselves from their unrequited loves and I could really see high school students agreeing to hook up because they can't be with the person they truly like.
There's a lot that goes on, but I'm not about to write a whole synopsis and I don't think anyone would like the read that anyway.
Cast: the cast it okay, nothing terrible, nothing great. The actress who plays Hanabi does a good job of expressing her confusion and emotions. There's a lot going on in that characters head and the actress really gave it her best. Etoba was also portrayed well, with her conflicting emotions and the distress she feels.
Music: it's nice and fits the lord. Nothing exceptional to comment on.
Rewatch value: I would probably rewatch it, skipping through all of the things that are uncomfortable for me. It only 12 episodes and they are all around 30 minutes.
Overall, it's worth a shot. It's just a filler kind of drama but it's more thought provoking than a lot of other things you could be watching.

Unique and interesting
Warnings: Sexual harassment/assault, Sex Crimes, violence and blood. - I personally don't count warnings as spoilers.Story: Without giving anything away, the story feels well rounded which is impressive for a drama that is only eight 20+ minute episodes. I like the development of the story through the flash backs and present time. Plus it's not really what I was expecting at first glance.
Acting: To be honest, I watched this for Violette Wautier because I like her music. The cast did pretty well, given how the show was shot (vertical, each actor had their own camera, and close range). The vertical orientation took a not-so suspenseful show and made it a little creepier (besides the setting and story) because it messes with the viewers peripheral vision. Th girls stood out more than the guys for me, but Billy was interesting in the flashbacks, probably because it gave a lot more information on his character.
Music: Like I said, I watched this because I like Violette Wautier's music, and she sings and OST for it, so I was perfectly happy. It's called Matter. 10/10
Rewatch: It's short and good, so I would rewatch it again.

This sticks out in the BL genre
Trigger warnings: somewhat graphic depiction of suicide and a lot of talk about what is basically a suicide pact. Homophobia and some homophobic language. Anxiety is discussed and panic attacks take place. Weapons (guns). With all of that said, none of it (accept the homophobia) is disrespectful. This drama is telling a story about life in the past and present and how (Thai) societal views on LGBT+ relationships and people have changed. The mental health and suicide stuff is not exploitative and it fits in the plot/ has a place in the story line.
Okay, so this drama made me cry a little in the first episode because it starts with heavy topics and it is a little jarring to watch. I will say it is not like The Effect (another BL) or anything like that. I would watch this again but I couldn't finish The Effect (it is good though but hard to watch).
This drama does a lot to break down barriers between the past and present and essentially does that with LGBT stigmas as well. I appreciated this drama from a story telling point of view. It is so much more artistic in the plot then most Thai BL drama's I have seen. I appreciate the artistry of the flash backs and how the y are sometimes also the dreams of the present characters. I really would suggest giving this a try, it's beautiful story that didn't rip out my heart, stomp on it, and set it on fire (only a little bit).

Harsh and depressing. The synopsis didn’t prepare me
Long story short, i got really triggered and i am not the kind of person to post things like this on every little thing that bothers me. I misinterpreted 18+ as just sexual content, consensual or not. It was recommended as GL and I was curious.I don’t know why, but I completely misunderstood the vibe of the movie before I started watching it. I ended up fast forwarding through most of it and then stopping completely. So no, I didn’t not actually watch most of this movie, this is more of a warning. This triggered my PTSD, anxiety, and negative thoughts really severely. I stopped about half way when some really violent stuff happened, don’t want to spoil if someone wants to watch it.
I just really wasn’t prepared for what this movie had in it. Partially my fault for thinking it would take a less extreme turn in the plot. But yeah, one mild/medium panic attack later, I decided to write this to just give a little more info in the reviews of this movie. I’m sure some people like this but I wish I had known more about the content.

A well done acid trip...? Waiting for a season 2.
This show really throws you into a story line without much information to go off of and it is really confusing a first. Stick with it!The idea of these 'jellies' is really unique and the main female is just a great character. The whole first season is too short and it really feels like an introduction more than anything. There's A LOT more to learn about this cinematic universe and I hope that a second season comes a delivers!
First, the story line is unique and doesn't deliver cliques, which is so welcomed after a lack of refreshing concepts. With that said, it is weird. It really seems like something someone on dr*gs would think of. I mean this in the best way though.
Second, the characters are interesting and the fun to watch. Both of the leads are good and portray there characters very well, in my opinion. Nam Joo Hyuk seems older and kind of worn down like a high school teacher, haha.
Overall, really interesting and try to give it a chance.

Slow build but good.
Story: The story is a lot like Sungkyunkwan Scandal (SK drama) but this is newer and feels fresher (probably just me). I don't have a lot to say on the story besides that there are all the cliques you'd expect and it's not anything new. This doesn't mean it is bad though.Casting: Honestly, I watched Go Ahead and wanted to watch something else that had Song Wei Long in it, so here I am. I also had already seen Sweet Tai Qi(Chi?) and I liked it, which had Bi Wen Jun in it. The actors played their parts well. I like Wang Rui Chang's character the best for a variety of reasons. Overall, the guys carried this cast in my eyes (granted there's really only one main female) because of all the different personalities their characters brought to the story.
Music: Nothing memorable but it's not like I was plugging my ears because it was bad.
Rewatch: I don't know if I'd spend the time to watch it again. Its a bit long and I don't know if I would like it as much a second time.
So there's my unsolicited thoughts, do with them what you will.

Pretty good
The beginning of the show is strong. It offers a unique story that is captivating to the viewer and is continuously explained throughout the show making you want to keep watching. However, there is a lull in the middle and it was a bit tedious to get through. I had to fast forwarded quite a bit. The ending wrapped up most of the plot points but I felt like it was lacking some depth. I like the crime and law & order genre so i stuck through it, but these are the same reason I drop rom-com shows. The main couple had a lot of chemistry through the beginning and middle, but the stopped being very convincing at the end, more like very close friends. I don't know, it's probably just me.I love both leads, Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji. I think they are very good actors. Lee Joon Gi shined the most to me, probably because his character is sooooo multi dimensional, more so than Seo Ye Ji's. He portrayed all of his characters emotions very well and personalities very well.
I would maybe watch it again but I'd be fast forwarding through a lot, honestly.
The music felt fitting and gave ambience when needed. I also thought the title song fit the vibe of the show well.

Korean 'Contagion'
I watched this a few years ago in all honesty but it was a good movie. Suspence movies keep me on the edge of my seat (obviously) and the Flu was no different. There were definitely twists and turns and characters I hated and one's I loved. It the same sub genre of thrillers as Contagion, the 2011 movie from the USA. It's definitely worth the watch. however, I will say that the CGI or shoots of the disease spreading through coughing was nasty. All-in-all, a "good" quarantine movie. Happy watching! Was this review helpful to you?

Cute
There are no gigantic spoilers but maybe a few if you don't want absolutely anything to be known before watching it... but I don't know if you'd be reading this to begin with then....I like the fact that it revolved around the make up industry. There's some other shows that also do this that I like, like Face-Off.
The plot is cute, not very surprising or anything new. I like how it approached the topic of scars in Chinese culture. I've known about this taboo but it is the first time I've really seen it in a drama, especially with it being such an important part of the story line. So, that was really interesting to see the back story about it an dhow it effected her and her family.
Characters:
to be honest, the main characters are not my favorite, they just seem kind of flat. However, I love the side characters, the two best female friends, especially the one that was a former competitor. I really liked watching her character development. I also liked the relationship development with the plastic surgeon/male lead's best best friend.
The love triangle felt annoying and like it took too long to clear up. It just started to feel repetitive. Love triangles seem like they are mandatory in C-dramas now-a-days and I think I am just worn out with them since its such a repetitive plot point. It's not this dramas fault though, it's just something the majority of dramas do.
Overall, the character web was probably one of the best parts. It's very cute and the main relationship has ups and downs but it was fun to watch.

It's not anything amazing
It's a normal romantic movie that doesn't have much personality (like a lot of romantic movies in general). It's not like a slow-burn or anything, it's just not super exciting. The actors are beautiful people that are trying to portray a normal life couple and they do an okay job. It was honestly a way to pass time for me and I'd figure I'd give it a try because I like some of the actors dramas (Sung hoon). I like baking so that was honestly the most interesting part to me. It's just a normal movie that can be a chill watch if you have the time and aren't looking for a cinematic master piece. Was this review helpful to you?
It reminds me of a couple other dramas that I like.
The drama is really interesting. To be honest, I finished it in two days. First and foremost, I watched GoGo Squid (most recent comparison, earlier this year an dit took me a long time to finish because it felt drawn out. I also watch Love 020 multiple years ago and took a little while. Gank Your Heart is similar to this show but the side characters in this really keep the plot moving (there are still slow episodes though). I really enjoyed the main and subplots, though the one with Miya got repetitive. The acting was good, not too cringe, though there are moments, which are to be excepted in this genre. I like the characters in general too. I'd like to mention the OST, I really liked the music, it was fitting for the show and it's atmosphere, it was up beat fro the most part and I really liked one of the songs (I'm going to look fro it later).
It's worth watching, so give it a chance.

MY HEART!
I found this after looking for a show with Hu Tian as a main character after finished GoGo Squid! and stumbled across this. I am happy I did! I am a sucker for a show that makes me Aww! and smile like a proud mom. I felt like I was going in circle as the plot developed though. I am not the biggest fan of guys who have a tsundere personality at the beginning though. However, I loved the friendship between all of the characters and had a fun time watching it. I like shows that go from High School to University. The charcters are more wholesome I feel like, and when I watch a show in this genre I expect to see some cute stuff. I got what I wanted. Also, prepare to be frustrated by all of the miscommunications! They make the story better in this case but also had me wanting to bash my head into a wall (not recommended FYI).

What the heck did I just watch!?
Okay! Before I critique this, I want to say it is worth watching but you're getting ready for a rollercoaster ride.First, like many people said, you don't really know who the male lead is at first, second guessing everything haha. The idea that the two main male roles are brothers was interesting but also the plot revolving around the three didn't feels organic, the plot felt forced.
The female lead is a good character. She has a back bone and stands up for herself, which I love to see. The love triangle is a bit infuriating because of her though.
The conniving supporting female character was just wild. Girl really thought she was the main charcter. I'm trying not to put in spoilers, but I would be prepared to feel extremely frustrated with her lack of empathy and just how wicked she is.
The last three episodes do a 180 and it gets kind of crazy and felt a bit rushed. the later years feel disconnected to the rest of the story.
I would say to watch this show but don't have high expectations.
