I read books and watch anime and drama to travel the world.
I weave words to transcend to a different dimension.
As a literature graduate, it's easy for me to go down the overly critical and analytical path when watching a show or movie but I refrain myself from putting on my literary hat. I had enough of filtering through literary theories or film theories when watching or reviewing any film or series, rather I will base my viewing experience as subjectively personal and human as possible, rate the show on how it makes me feel/think, while injecting my bias and preferences, etc.
Nevertheless, it goes without saying that if the particular piece demands to be taken seriously, I will for that matter try to review it from a critical eye, as my way of giving respect to such piece. This might resulting in a stricter rating that I will usually give if I were to watch a show purely for personal enjoyment and entertainment.
