This started as one thing and ended as a completely other thing.

I was so excited about the storyline and the intrigue. I heard that other shows are similar in theme but this is my first in the genre. The whole thing blew my mind away. The best thing to happen in the first half of the show was: a badass FL who did not back down in front of anything. Her chemistry with the ML in fight scenes was also chef's kiss.

Right after they went to Tianji to get their chips removed though, it's like our brave FL had a personality switch. It's almost like she inherited a version of Qing You's cowardice and insecurities. I pushed through hoping for something to change but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Also, I didn't get why the ML decided to stay behind when the game was supposed to self-destruct. I guess we needed 2 more episodes to make it to 30 episodes.

I think the romance between the ML and FL wasn't even needed. Bawan and Xiaoqing were really great. Overall, I rated this show low - even though I enjoyed the first half.

My pros:
- Hated characters change for the best
- Everyone grows a little
- What started as an awful adventure, became a beautiful friendship.
- Great OST

My cons:
- I got lost in the story in the second half,
- I stopped caring about the main plot and just wanted to get to the end
- FL's change of persona
- I'm annoyed at how a great story with potential was ruined
