Average writing but watchable because of leads chemistry
I enjoyed watching this, but it wasn't what I expect. I first realized this when they revealed Sunjae actually liked Sol after all that time. It was a bit unrealistic, and it felt too orchestrated. The part I most enjoyed was watching the time they were in high school since that's when we see the most development. But most of all, I really enjoyed the chemistry of the leads. Even though the writing was lacking, this made it entertaining. Onto the things I disliked, the back and forth between the present and the past started to drag, and I feel like it impacted the story a lot. I also didn't like the murder storyline and like in most romance kdramas, it just didn't fit. The change of tones was too drastic. One minute we have comedy and romance and then we have thriller and suspense. Doing this successfully is a task but this drama is another one that failed at it. After episode 12, I just started to skip scenes and I was just too impatient to see something with substance and finally know if destiny was going to favor Sunjae and Sol.Was this review helpful to you?
Entertaining story with unrealistic plot lines
Little women is a series full of drama and plot twists that explore the greediness for money and the wealth difference between the rich and the poor. The first half of this series is definitely better than the second one. In this one we can see how the three sisters all get wrapped up in the murder of Hwa Young and with the Won Family. It was interesting to see In joo's slowly becoming greedy for her new found money while at the same time trying to give her deceased friend justice. The murder case and the mystery behind the blue orchid really left me at the edge of seat. I also really enjoyed In hye's weird dynamic in the Won house. But then the writers kept dragging both of the mysteries, adding more information without wrapping up stuff. And then the unrealistic stuff came and never left until the ending. By this I mean stuff like In joo walking while badly hurt to her hotel after the car crash, Wong Sang A creating that hotel scheme of the other In Joo, In Hye leaving with Hyo rin and the sisters just being okay with it. It just doesn't make sense. The second half relied too much on plot twists. Im neither satisfied or mad about the ending, it was just okay. Overall, it was still a really entertaining series with it's flaws and the cast did an amazing job.Was this review helpful to you?

It had potential but the direction and script failed
I had high expectations for this drama but they weren't met. I started watching because of Lee Dohyun but his acting was kinda average in this. I think the character didn't fit him. For me, Go Minsi's acting stole the show. I was so impressed by her. Overall, the story had a lot of potential but I think the drama was badly directed and the script was lacking. The drama deal with very serious situations and a lot of time I felt like it just couldn't live up to the seriousness of the situations; It felt superficial. I found it inconsistent, sometimes forcing comedy when it just didn't fit. It took a lot of me to finish it. Despite this, I was satisfied with the ending. Was this review helpful to you?
Peaked at the first three episodes
This drama had a really great start, I was so drawn by the moving to small town and just live storyline but the feelings captured in the first episodes didn't string along during the rest of the drama. It started to drift apart from this by adding the crime-building plot, it wanted to include many characters and a lot of times the scenes that were supposed to be emotional felt shallow due to the script and the acting. Siwan did great and I can't wait to see more of his work but you could tell how his skills were more polished in comparison to Seolhyun. However, I can't criticize her a lot because her character written poorly. Yeorum was almost too perfect, she was almost always nice, naive, and helping everyone. It was unrealistic a bit boring and I couldn't relate to her. I also found strange the decision to make Yeorum friends with Bom and Jae Hoon since they are high schoolers. During the last three episodes, I skipped a lot of scenes because I was bored and wanted it to finish it. Overall, I'm disappointed but I don't regret watching it.Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing Writing and Amazing Cast
As soon as I finished episode 1, I knew this drama was going to be amazing. The writing is touching and mature and the cinematography is stunning. I know Kim Taeri is talented and yet she still surprised me. Nam Joohyuk did too and I could tell how he has grown as an actor. This role was perfect for him and the chemistry with Taeri was amazing. This whole drama captured the softness and hardness of coming of age. One of my favorite things is that neither romantic love or friendship got privatized and they were equally important; This idea resonates a lot with who am I as a person. For the bad things, the only thing I have to point out is the last 3 to 4 episodes. This is subjective because I am a big fan of slow burn stories and usually when the characters get together I get less invested. However, I am of angst and I love how they wrote the fall out of Heedo and Yijin. Even thought I'm not the biggest fan of the ending, this still was an amazing and beautiful drama/Was this review helpful to you?

It surprised me how much I enjoyed it
This drama is full of cliches and corny moments but it didn't made me cringe at all. What makes this drama so different is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and Sejeong's acting is amazing. The cast make it very enjoyable and fun and the script is definitely better than most of the dramas in this genre. I'm not a fan of the fake dating trope but the way it was developed it was very fun and dynamic. This doesn't only apply to the main couple but the second one too, I enjoyed watching them both. Kim Minkyu really impressed me and I can't wait until he gets a male lead role. Something I found lacking was the OST situation but its not that big of a turn off. I'm happy I started this drama and I'll definitely rewatch it in the future. Was this review helpful to you?
The perfect combination of education, entertainment and romance
This is one of the best dramas I've watched. And I think this is only one of the few I don't have anything negative to say about it. I loved the characters, even the "bad" ones, the story is great at combining the events of the cases, Youngwoo's and Junho's relationship and her autism. All the cases were entertaining and intriguing. The relationship of Youngwoo and Junho was so pure and genuine, the actors did an amazing job. I love how it never felt like the writers were treating autism with a prejudice mind; I felt like they really wanted to created a piece of work that was true to real life experiences. Was this review helpful to you?
Good Story but Just Not For Me
This started out good, even thought from the get go I knew I wasn't going to like Sehee. I didn't like the whole cold, socially awkward act. Not that's its bad or wrong to be that way ofc, but it was just done horribly. Throughout the course of the drama I expected for the relationship between Jiho and Sehee to develop and have depth but that didn't happen at all (like I wanted it to) and I just kept getting bored. I'm really into dramatics and into couples with deep intense feelings but that wasn't their dynamic. The drama does a good job exploring different social constructs around marriage and relationships in South Korea and I appreciate that but again, it wasn't my vibe. Overall, this was a very chill drama that explores the complications of life, and relationships, and I can see why some people love it but it wasn't my cup of tea.Was this review helpful to you?

Misleading Marketing yet I not mad at it
Being a fan of both Haein and Jisoo, I was extremely excited for Snowdrop. Because it's notorious scandals, I was skeptical starting it however that first episode was perfect. I loved the pace and the atmosphere and with the next episodes I realized how much effort was put into the drama. You can tell that it has a great production and a great writing team behind it. The drama grew more dark and action filled as it went by, it was unexpected. Even though it was entertaining, at some point I just wished the hostage situation to end. Obviously that didn't happened yet it stop to frustrate me. The marketing of this drama was definitely misleading since there is not a lot of romantic scenes. But the amazing writing and scenes really impressed me even thought I don't consider myself a fan of action filled dramas. I think the task of writing and directing the whole hostage situation storyline is a very challenging one and think it takes a lot of talent, Also, I was very impressed with the casting and it's acting, the only one that lacked a bit was Mrs. Pi. Haein did a good job but honestly I prefer him in other types of roles, he impressed me more in Something in the Rain. Being a Blink, I was really nervous for Jisoo and her acting but her skills totally blew me away. Overall, I think what made the drama worth watching was the reaction of the characters and how and why they made their decisions. Even thought there were a lot of plot twists I feel like the drama didn't rely on them and the characters moved the story. Was this review helpful to you?

Only memorable things: good looking leads and disappointing story
I was looking for a wholesome, chill workplace romance but only got a pea sized portion of it. This happened in the first episode and things just went constantly downhill after it. The writing was less than average, and I just couldn't connect to the story. The characters were a lot of times one dimensional and their decisions didn't make sense. This drama is just another example of when writers decide that the plot should move the story instead of the characters. I think particularly, the female lead Sooyoung bothered me. She just felt like a caricature and all over the place, due to the bad writing. It felt like a waste of Moon Gayoungs talent. On the other hand, Yoo Yeonseok characters felt more dimentional and his acting was good. Overall, it just wasn't what I expected but the bad writing heavily limited my enjoyment. Was this review helpful to you?
