I ♥️ Orishin!

I give this drama a 8/10, it started off strong with really great scenes and funny moments. I feel like midway through (around episode 11 or 12) it loss some of its steam, and I kind of lost interest. However, I did complete it.

Pros:
- Main leads have good chemistry
- Female lead is charming and hilarious
- Gumiho/fantasy element is evident and used throughout entire series and isn't pushed the background.
- Side characters were well developed and helped the story to progress.
- Entire cast had good chemistry
- Hilarious, laugh out loud scenes
- Female lead while dependent on the male lead for a good portion of the series. She did show that she could be independent and that she knew what she wanted.

Cons:
- Story felt like it slowed momentum midway through
- Wished the male lead showed more emotion instead of holding himself back, I get that is not the actors fault just how the character was written.

I Promise You ??

I give this drama a 7.5/10. I feel that it was a cute musical rom-com w/ just enough cringe and heart-throbbing moments to satisfy most drama lovers.

Pros:
- Park Shin-Hye's cameo
- The music featured in the drama was good. I hardly ever skipped the intro song.
- This remake, for the most part, kept the integrity and appeal of the original Korean drama "You're Beautiful".
- The Male Lead was total eye-candy, I saw him in Falling Into You and thought that he favored Jang Keun-suk. So, imagine my surprise when I found out he reprised Keun-suk's role in the Taiwanese remake.

Cons:
- It kept too close to the original source material for most of the series, so much so that a few times I skipped scenes because I already knew what would happen. I wished the writers or director would have added more original scenes like the musical performance by the Indigenous people.

- I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like they dumbed-down the female leads character compared to Park Shin-Hye's version (Park's version was already a little too innocent/naive for my liking). One of the characters even described her as "slow-witted". I get that she is supposed to be portrayed as innocent and naive to worldly matters. But, come on! There were moments where I just face-palmed at her obliviousness.

- The 2nd Female lead (Can't remember her name) was more annoying than the original portrayal, not just because she was written that way, but due to the actress's portrayal of the character. She fell flat for me.

- Tai Jing's mother portrayal was another character that I just felt like the actress's performance fell flat. I sometimes forgot about her plot point until I saw her pop-up on the screen wearing all black.

Overall, this was a good drama and by far the best remake of the original Korean drama You're Beautiful.
