Simple slow burn done right
This won't be a long review. The whole story was beautifully made, every emotion so well expressed. Never have I ever been so endeared and impressed by the attention to the chaotic simplicity of adolescence. It took me back to my school days where we would spend our days trying to study for board exams, and cherish and also feel the intensity of emotions in the little time we had in school with our friends.
While I do agree that the pacing and story line in some areas could have been better, the exceptional supporting cast made it all better. Also the 'very moment' section at the end of some episodes was so cute!!
Lastly, kudos to the actors, Benjamin and LDQ, who made this what it is.
Can't wait for season 2!!

Who knew romance could be shown this way
This beautiful show, perfect for the summer, encompasses all kinds of love. It takes a good script and amazing actors to show what emotional intimacy is, and this show has done that perfectly. While watching, I often wondered how I never realised that romance can be shown through words of pure affection paired with facial expressions that these actors pulled off.Speaking of actors, all the supporting casts did a phenomenal job, not one character was useless to the story, not one character took up anymore screen time than needed.
As with almost all BLs, the ending did feel a bit rushed and I wish there was a bit more time given to it, but the post credit scene really took the cake and made me tear up.
I would recommend this show 100%, especially for Nakazawa Motoki's (Kohei's) smile -- it is just so calming <3
All in all, a perfect slice of life which cools your heart in the heat of the summer.

Truly BL, truly queer
The series follows a classic boy meets boy plot line with a twist. The twist, one you can never expect, no matter how well you prepare for it. It is beautiful, sweet, lovely, just everything good you need for a good binge watch. The music and cinematography are amazing, truly one of the best BLs out there!

Something that stays with you
A feel-good, fluffy, sexy-in-the-right-time, second chance drama that really tugs on your heart-strings and makes you feel like everything can be alright. Overall, it was an amazing watch. The only flaw I can point out is the end felt a bit rushed but that didn't take away from the story since the leads' chemistry made the whole journey very memorable.PS: The fact that there was no beating around the bush for any scene was a major plus.

Beautiful angst
While it can be debated whether this really fits the themes of a classic BL, the story, if you're into angst, is one to watch for. Yes, there are some plot points which make you wonder the realism of it all (such as financing of the restaurant, taking long breaks from work, etc), the core story is lovely. The overlying themes of self-sacrifice -- the extent and the ways of self-sacrifice -- are showcased really beautifully here. If you're okay with watching something painful, and raw with a happy ending, this is the show for you!
PS: Kudos to the actors for singing songs in this, so so cool!
