Decent, but one of those "could've been a masterpiece".
Advice:For those that like how the show starts and how the relationship develops, you can skip and just watch the endscene(last few minutes) of episodes 14,15 and 16 and around 90-95% of the scenes with the work colleagues after the first few episodes.
It's a decent drama that could've been one of those "must be watched"/"masterpiece"/"groundbreaking", but failed because of the lack of vision.
First off, I can be considered a westerner(EU native), but I understand most of the cultural things presented. That said, I couldn't understand many decisions plotwise regarding character decisions and how the story was presented regarding the workplace "issue", holding on, relantionships and all. Because of this I asked friends that are from that cultural group/place and that have lived there to see if it was appealing from a korean pov and they said the same thing as me:
Workplace:
- plot covers some discussions, situations but nothing regarding the actual resolution so it was poorly written on this part
- workplace colleagues, situations and reasonings are somewhat just about there without an actual substance because it's written/made to feel like one of those "you know what happens"/"read between the lines", but it's bad and even if it's just a filler for the whole show since the relantionship is the main act, it brings it down. Nevertheless it's so bad that when it interacts with the relantionship and the female lead "development"/decisions that it leaves you sense of "wtf is this?" It just hovers over grey lines without going to a resolution.
Relantionship:
- it is presented and done realistically and sincerely great for the first 2 thirds to say so
- the questionable decisions in these 2 parts can be reasoned in many ways so they give a more realistical feeling to the show, but are simply horrendous in the last part
- like the workplace stuff, in the last part of the show it just hovers on grey lines, questionable decisions without reasoning(the only reason that would make sense is that the FL is a masochist/wants to be sad and gloomy, but it isn't that so it's just conflicting with the whole story presented as it is)
The workplace stuff is just purely filler with no substance and because of how much of the show is workplace related, it's mostly a waste of time.
Relationship starts of great, but ultimately leaves you a feeling of "emptiness" because of how bad the plot unfolds(FL decisions without a proper substance behind them; partially the fault of how the workplace stuff is presented and how in the whole show they say one thing and the actions present something way different).
Gave an 8 overall because it kept me for the ride, but the last part of the show is complete crap with a "happy ending" done in like 2 minutes after 3 hours of unwanted and unreasonable emptiness/gloominess that brings nothing to the story. To explain it shortly, the FL is presented and "fighting", but in reality does nothing of the sort and towards the end they wanted to emphasize that she's "holding her ground"/"making though decision(s)"/maturing, but nothing of the sorts occurs. Sincerely it felt like a lack of inspiration either from the script or from the production team for not expressing anything there.(they ran out of work fillers and just prolongued the story with a relationshiop filler)
It just feels like someone that gets a lottery ticket with a medium(but very substantial prize) and throws it away because it doesn't want free money or anything less than the grand prize while they are in a situation of sleeping on the streets and starving because of some questionable "pride motive". While this setting(of pride) works great in a captivating story with good reasoning behind, it's just poorly used in this drama overall.

Glad this exists.
The story, the cast, everything seems on point.I don't know in which order I should express my feelings/rating about this show.
Plotwise: awesome, not forced, logical, realistic, relatable, not stretched/far fetched
Actors: great casting, great acting, these characters fit them like a glove(or they made them fit which would be even more upstanding)
Soundtrack: decent overall, not exagerated or overused, almost perfect; would've been great to get just a little more out of it to make it trully "glow"
Production: great scenes and cuts, dialogues, prologues to important scenes
Big thumbs up for production/stunt crew/actors etc. that they didn't exagerate(too much) in fights or action scenes, but still made it enjoyable and cursive.
I would recommend everyone to watch this. Sincerely, a great show without using the romance, revenge(kind of used at the beginning, but just as a medium), time skip/return plot, but at the same time they didn't go overboard with the script and make it too dramatic on a point that it's not realistic/relatable/enjoyable.

Worth watching!
Sincerely, I'm dissapointed with the low score it got.Long story short: it's a slice of life drama with comic scenes and some really good life lessons
The only reason I see for the low score is that people came with expectations of something else (even after the first episode), being a kdrama wanted more drama(but it isn't that overdramatic type) or didn't finish it.
Gave it an 9.5 score and I would recommend it to watch to someone that wants a light rom-com without exagerated drama or complicated storyline. The only thing exagerated are the effects of the fight scenes, but if you want a light show to watch it's as good as it can get.
The only reason I didn't gave it a 10 is subjective, like most opinions posted in reviews, and that's because of little things that I didn't like, but I still binged most of it.
Conclusion: Give it a try!

8 for potential...dissapointed by production. 6.5-7 would be a real rating
Just finished it and will go see part 2.I gave it an 8 for the potential, but a more accurate rating would be a 7/10. The plot has potential and I hope season 2 will do better than this but I have many doubts...
What makes is not so great in my opinion(every complain is about the production):
• short and rushed: they tried to squeeze as much as they could as far as feelings and plot setting goes and because of that they failed to do something awesome
- this covers that awkward feeling I got from the characters too since they couldn't be developed/presented properly and some of their interactions are also "awkward-cringey" not in a good way
- some "buffer scenes" that usually prepare the viewer to get into the right mood/feeling are missing so it feels like one of those episode short stories where they transition in the middle of it and it makes you lose focus about what is currently happening/lets you thinking about what happened in the last scene/waiting for something more even thought there may be nothing(long story short: bad transitions)
• bad scene cuts that simply feel like a slap in the middle of something that feels interesting(even in some fight scenes, but there it might be because of the cgi/budget/ not enough filmed scenes or well thought before shooting)
• half of the fight scenes are mediocre because they tried too much to emphasize the supernatural movements and are simply "meh" (illogical, felt awkward in some places, bad scene cut/transitions/positions after a "high speed action")
• plot holes: yeah, I know it's a drama and also fantasy, but there are scenes(too many considering how short it is) in which the action taken by a character makes you wanna scream "really?" (best example would be last episode when the priest turns away and prays....REALLY???? IN THAT SITUATION??? Which screenwriter and/or producer is this dumb to make that scene so cringe and illogical? There was no reason, no emotion, no logic, not anything that would make that action have a meaning. Please watch the scene before commenting about my comment about it.).
There are multiple scenes like this and it simply screams at how this whole project feels like a homework that was well thought
and planned, forgotten and made half an hour before the class starts.
I won't say any specific details because it would be a spoiler. I want this to be read by everyone and to know what they are getting from this kdrama and that is a failed potential top rated kdrama.
Acting - felt ok, but again, because of the rushed storytelling they didn't have a chance to trully shine
Soundtrack - decent, but nothing great. Would have loved an epic theme song to be done for this like moorim school had or ar least a better work done in some scene where a better soundtrack would've made them feel even better
It is decent overall, but mediocre and I'm sad because it had a great potential.
Worth watching if you wanna see something fast and without getting attached to the characters/story.

More like this please!
This review is for season 1.I'll start this and say that I am a fan of this show and binged it. That's why even if I noticed 1-2 things that a critic can use to not give it a 10 I went past this and gave it a 10 for the awesome work it is.
The rating for each section is already shown but I can say that the story, overall, is captivating, the acting is what it should be. I haven't found any flaws with it from any actor and many scenes were written/produced/acted as any production of this kind should be done. 11/10 to the actors and 11/10 to the production team for these awesome moments.
Had it on my watchlist for 2 years and one of the reasons I delayed watching it a couple of times was because I expected it to be good(if something is good I simply can't stop watch it, even if it means no sleep). That decision was perfect because if I had started that show in a busier period I couldn't have binged it as I did because it exceeded my expectations. This is a good thing because, unfortunately, expectations are the worst thing for any type of work. They raise the bar and if that kind of show/movie is lacking anywhere it will feel like it is a bigger matter that it trully is. I am glad that this show exceeded that and delivered a great experience.
I recommend it and feel that the rewatch value is high with this show, even more so if you watched season 2.

One of those shows that make you feel a void just because they ended.
Just finished rewatching it and I was afraid that I might give it a lower rating since many years have passed. Glad to say that I am pleasantly surprised to give a well deserved 10.Gonna say that rewatching it, now that I'm (surprinsingly) more mature, I appreciate it even more. Understanding more aspects of it, seeing things that I missed the first time and appreciating overall the small things that today, even though some might feel a little awkward, they were what made this show great.
The title says it all. For those that are dreamer or at least want to dream, watch it.
You can watch and rewatch it at certain points in life. Not gonna regret it

All talk, no substance
Plot: has potential; it's a letdownProduction: kinda meh and the reason why soundtrack/scenes were mediocre
Soundtrack: none in the first 8 episodes. It's done the usual way of chinese productions: recording every sound after the filming is done and has no notable music or anything yet and probably won't.
Intro: Great visuals. Might be the best thing of the whole show
Acting: can't tell because the plot and production are subpar in this form. The actors are decent, but most of the scenes feel mediocre at best and this is because of production/script
Overall: You can find much better shows. It isn't worth the time even if they have a banger for the finale(which I can say from what I've surveyed, it's not)
The story has a nice start with a big potential to be development in many ways from rom-com, melodrama to about anything.
After watching 8 episodes(almost a third of the entire series), it's all just talk about roundabout ways, plot has no substance, nothing exciting, no action scenes, no notable comedy/romance or plot twist scenes(the ones done are subpar and feels like a highschooler written and produced this as his first piece without any experience).
After the starting 2 episodes you get 6 episodes of talks and nothing done. Characters just sitting there and doing nothing.
To sum it up: it's a show that should have maybe 8-12 episodes instead of 30, but they dragged it along the way for the money. I know better indian shows where they dramatized a scene with 1 minute of eerie soundtrack and face closeup that are better than the scenes where the characters do absolutely nothing. Even the talks are so boring and with no substance/plot setting intention. They are there just to be there like a guy that when he wants to tell a story about how he got his first pension, he starts with the moment he is born even though he has to leave in 5 minutes. Good luck listening 30 hours of a story from which maybe...MAYBE...2 are worth it.
