Had a potential however poorly presented

I would describe my feelings about the series
The series starts very hard with numerous of hilarious encounters and very relatable moments. The episode made me feel like I really was part of the series. It got my interest from the begining and really seemed as it would be a no skip drama due it's unique concept which is based onto the nowadays most talked topic Idols.
Actors did well while portraying the characters yet short series and lack of screen time made it unable to develop anything, as for the production there were minor problems with some editing the biggest problem was it's shortness.
As the drama could have an amazing impact similar to KinnPorshe , I mean due it's interesting plot and story as well could have gained a lot from international audience in this part it flopped on many segments.
1st Story is packed in too short screen time. A lot of time skip. So developing a story not talking about love or characters is limited to the presented screen time.
2nd Actors due the reason above to properly get to know the character they are portraying. If developed properly they would be able to perform better get deeper into a characters.
3rd No feeling of the romance , unreasonable development of the love between characters.
4th Too much a mess there is a lot of everything but what drama stated it is it' basically not there. Struggles poorly presented, Shades done by other trainees well could have been done better. The most imoprtant love between characters there mostly is nothing.
5th Company not prepared for the interest from international fans as well Company taking the most popular topic and flopping it.
6th Companies treatment toward international fans as after one episode released they let international fans to wait for a week just to tell them that they aren't able to watch it and they weren't prepared for such an interest from Us. For me sorry but it's seems like bullsh** but really it looks like this excuse was well worthy cause this one had gem story but it didn't get justice.

As from me I would do it differently , this should be atleast 12ep drama where even the actors can get to know characters better. I would write a novel under that topic we will see.

No lesson learned no wounds healed no apologize

One thing I don't understand the life isn't like that , in life the second lead would already become first , what i would actually do is like life is doing teaching you a lesson , I would tell her don't try to like Him try to find something to bring yourself to love Him , so you would see that a crush you had earlier has gone and you actually had fallen in love with that person he should show her that is so easy for a person to go from friend to lover is just a matter of changing the perspective. Thats my opinion cause it wouldbe more unpredictable like life itself is , now just by tittle i can predict that he would try to understand , heal himself fight back with the past but yet he would not learn any lesson from it cause would recive that what he wanted so I would say a story like many others that i don't even know if it actually deserve high number , rewatch value it' s low, acting is good yet that lesson is taken away so is sad, it didn't help the overall of the drama. The story didn't held a lesson it is hurting to watch it. It isn't story about two friends becoming lovers He is a centre of attention , he is the most important because he was hurt. It was her biggest mistake that she hasn't said " You understand my decision yet You said You can't because you need to see me , so respect me and my decision and look from afar" . I would give you the example the short web drama Real Ending this drama is holding a lesson , Strong Woman Doo Bong Soon is holding the good way to go from friend to lover.
I would state that those new dramas which are comming out and those which came it' s very big gap between them . I would say I think they are becoming worse and worse nowadays .
I rearly am dropping any dramas even if i am it's mostly because of they feel too corny yet I am thinking of maybe in future giving them another try this is diffrent , this drama is watched once no more , i am watching it cause i do not like not knowing the end . Yet I don't like this drama at all.

After rewatching it again

For the first watching I gave it 7 , yet after rewatching it I found something new about this story. I am not encouraging such a behaviour , I am not supporting it. Yet I see now many problems from the others now then after my first rewatch 2 years ago when I found the tittle and watched the story again. If mother have said the truth to the daughter this would not happen, if the lawyer said the reason the true love would found it's way and bloom. The story would took the different turn , if I would ever made to remake the existing script I would told him the reason, and make him fall in love organically, He would want and need to prove and get her mothers approvement , Would tell her the truth so she will be able to decide on her own and rethink what is more important living good loving live without despisng anyone or decide to not take that offered true love and go deeper into saddness and revange. My conclussion the acting was on point, thats the script , thats the character you need to portray as the actor.

After rewatch

I just finished rewatching the series, story is amazing there was a few similarities to the Korean Descendants of the Sun but it was just few parts. In my opinion this story is the masterpiece I would make the slight changes here and there yet thats only due my personal likings and opinion. Male main lead is the ultimate perfection He deserves more main roles. I like how the story flows and the "Wood" character is actually very well portrayed. I like how in the story some bloopers were used and after watching the behind the scenes how many scenes was improvised by the actors. It shows how life is not always perfect and makes the viewer relate to the story more and closer to the characters. Perfect my first raiting was 9 due some changes I would made yet after rewatch I give this drama 10 . The story was well made , actors portrayed the characters very well and drama was closer to the life , there was some hard times , but there was some comedy as well. I highly recommend this. Chinese dramas are getting better and better.

Light hearted story

This is very lighthearted story , about finding the true sincere love. Finding a way to love ourselfs so others can fall in love with Us. I liked the story very much. Both Male and Female lead played they roles perfectly. This is one of those stories which you can rewatch many many times and will not get borring. I like the lessons in this story. Female lead love it that is this story she is kind hearted , friendly , maybe little naive yet her innocence is the point in this drama. Perfect female lead to this role and hell Yes we already know that P'Push is one of the greatest actors. Perfectly fittet into that role.

Great drama for mature watchers.

Only for Mature Readers!
Many has give the series such a low ratings based on flat experience and expectations of a non mature audience.

This story has many great aspects , which understanding comes with wisdom. The series took a turn from modern , ideal perfect ending dramas. Where life is most of a times opposite of it.
It’s an rollercoaster of emotions, the mess which could burn you or freeze you not an idyllic utopian society world where every little “happy moment “ is magnified.

This series aren’t for those which wants a happy ending…

Now a topic of the complaints about , boring , dragged feeling of a drama where the scenes or misunderstandings are prolonged. D*mn this a life some of them aren’t even getting resolved till the end and even after death not in seconds like in other dramas.

Messy plot , watch it with fully not skip it , this industry lacks dramas such as like this … Where emphasis is put onto lessons in life ,not where you can get what you want no matter what.

Now to the story
There were little imperfections such as character of the father P Lukeme and Mai those characters beside being main protagonists of the drama weren’t developed properly. Father which is an hypocrite telling his son that he is telling him the truth so he would not do him wrong however in next sentence he practically is telling him to keep it this a secret from Mai. Saying he left his mother to do not cheat that they have married each other due force from the parents. Sweetheart there is always a choice even in those kind of situations however a cowards would stated that there isn’t any. People which do not want to lose but do not want to follow orders. He could give up the family’s support and go for a woman he loves but he chooses to stay and do what they want him to do to keep that support. This is a story taken out of the life path of many people “with no way out”.

The main character which do not stand up , keep it this way … Mai another one grown like a flower under the glass to do not experience anything bad because he can not take it. At least it looks like after being abroad there are two possibilities or he grown up matured learned the truth and came back to reclaim the love of his life or he came back after moving on and being able to treat him as brother.
As well to those which are saying this plot twist is stupid, I would tell you a story of a girl neighbouring village of mine. She was young girl , studying well with a bright future. She met a boy from hundreds km away from her village. They have been together for sometime, they fell in love with each other , perfect couple which felt like they have been knowing each other for ages even at first met. Something there clicked . They got engaged and were about to get married , the mother of the bride which just met a boy she straight new it just by seeing him, who he is. She tried to separate them before many times but their love was stronger, but when it reached to the decision that they want to get married , she couldn’t hide it any longer, at the day of their wedding ,She gave them a traumatic news as turns out they are siblings. When she was young , she got pregnant and gave a child to adoption not telling about it to anyone she moved with her life. She said she haven’t thought that it would turn out this way … Those stories exist you just might not realise how many .

I loved the most 2nd lead couple they presented the most visible lesson. Do not take everything for granted, do not obligate anyone to be forever part of your life and do not state a promises you do not fully understand. Learn how to move on and how to give chances to the one which can truly love you.
I was so happy that Phob chosen the other guy.

I am not saying that this series are perfect , no they are far from it like a life is itself are they executed properly as well not there are many loop holes, many plot parts which could be done better or been totally removed without causing damage to the series. Some aspects could be fixed , but still it doesn’t deserve such a low ratings.

As per Both and NewYear performance , they seemed more as main characters which has story been based on , I really like them however this caused bigger mess then the other aspects. I would explore more the fifth pair instead of those two students, their plot was the least interesting but the one with happy ending and story development and decision making. Copy at least wasn’t coward and at point of feeling that he might loose the guy he loves he choose to confess. It seemed that Copy liked the guy first and wanted all of it trying to keep the excuses to be able to keep on talking to him then there were a lot on confusing moments. For me this drama is at least 8.

It is a good show with few flaws

Personally I struggled to rewatch it, actors played out the roles very well, it was a good show yet there was some mis points. Mis point nr 1 men if are interested in women should finish one relationship and start new one, they shouldn't act like nothing had happend in between after the break when they go back to school, in real life getting second chance isn't that easy. There is saying once had happend it can happen second time. I liked almost everything about this drama yet this was the biggest issue. Mis point nr 2 giving someone chance should be done with open heart without it is just useless. Mis point nr 3 for me it was ok cause it wasn't that offensive and explicit, yet for some viewers for those episodes containing physical violence should be some information before due that we don't know what that person came trough and if met someone whom stopped or not, for the future to have better ratings please fix those points, the best if you want to include any of those points please you should give that person a lesson of life. For most of the things and cases there is no second chance no matter what someone will do. This show isn't that bad yet isn't the best one either.

It is very deep, heavy story, coated into warm and cozy feeling, but as winter brings snow storms , it resembles the life , after a winter the lovely , light as it takes some burdens away spring comes after. It will always knock onto our doors just sometimes it takes time to reach , this story resembles it's very well.

Actors are very good associated with their roles, You can feel like actually fitting in the scenery.
Delicate love story between Hero and the Heroine is like a true life love which many dream about. Eyes which look at Us with love , which doesn't held anything behind , They will welcome You whenever You are ready .

Overall very beautiful story, with a warm heart I recomend this story .

After consideration

So I rewatched this drama recently and after it I decided to give this drama 10/10.
The most appealing were the second lead , I loved their separate stories. Their relationships were so refreshing.
The main lead story was okey , without the others it would be boring.
Overall the drama deserves 10 if someone likes light-hearted dramas with little spice.

Wu Ying story was so heartfelt , younger male and older female stories brings a lot of pressure from the society but they made it trough all the obstacles and personally their story was the best out of all in this drama it made me want to watch another episode.

Ma Yi Yi story was great as well , she is a little childlike , it has some good points and minuses yet in my opinion more good points , this girl was one of the most sincere and she does not need much to make her happy.

Zheng Li story was cute and fluffy romance.

The ending was good not great I wish it had little side story as ending for all main characters but the little surprise at the end was something nice.
