Nearly Dropped This One

From the first episode I was close to dropping this drama. I felt that it was boring and awkward, but I was determined to give it a fair chance by completing it.

As the summary states, Zhao Yi Qin plays Su M who has trouble communicating. I’m guessing mostly due to directing, he plays this role extremely flat. Very robotic. When He Yu (who was also in My Fated Boy) entered a scene with his social personality it was like a breath of fresh air.

The pace of the drama is very slow. Any heart touching scenes were stretched out so badly I sometimes pressed my forward button. ➡️

Then there’s the ending. ???? It did not fully show what happened. Wondering if they edited out parts that would have helped tie it all together. After holding out through 22 episodes, I at least needed a fully explained ending.

All in all, I didn’t hate this drama, but I didn’t feel it had enough to make it worth my watch time.

Now one of my favorite dramas

I enjoyed getting to know the characters in this story, especially during the funny moments. The storyline is thought provoking and for those of us who are older, makes one reminisce those younger days. If you have watched Go Ahead, it has a similar feeling of family.

The lead characters did a great job in making their roles so real. I was pleased to see Wang Rui Chang again, after seeing him in The Long Ballad. I think strong roles are his forte.

I highly recommend adding this drama to your watchlist.

A beautiful Encounter

This is not one of those average cutesy romance dramas. It captures true romance. The leisurely pacing of Encounter allows the viewer to linger in that splendid feeling of love. The music, poetry, artwork and sincerity of communication bring you into those lovely feelings.

The casting was fairly well done, but I wavered back and forth on whether I liked the ML actor for that role. I felt the FL was perfectly cast.

Please be patient and keep watching past the first episode. It lacks a connection somehow in the beginning. It progresses better after that.

By the end of this drama I’m a little emotionally tired, but it was a fulfilling ride. Hope you enjoy it too.

Sweet story

Sometimes I’m in the mood for a fluffy drama and this one didn’t disappoint. The romantic storyline is imaginative and the lead actors are so cute together. This drama does contain multiple couples, though. If you don’t like that in a drama, I don’t suggest this one for you. I even could have done without one of the couples . I think maybe it was because I didn’t really like the casting for the young couple.

Overall, I enjoyed the many humorous scenes and the sweet romance. Hope you enjoy it too

Mostly business

This drama was well done, but just wasn’t for me. The focus of WWW is on business and strong women with just a bit of romance. I know business is in the genre list, but I wasn’t aware it would be so involved and boring.

Romance is at the top of my list in drama watching . However, the romance here was very slow moving and the choices of the FL Tammi regarding it became annoying. I also quickly grew a strong dislike of the Song Ga Kyung character.

Lots of drawn out moments throughout that tempted me to hit > , but the cast, music and main story line was good.

Awkward

This was my first Japanese drama. Unfortunately, I selected it without reading about it first. My mistake. I had no idea that this was a manga adaptation. Hence, my shock at the weirdness.

Most of the character interactions felt odd/unnatural. That includes conversations and actions of all roles. I’m assuming this had something to do with manga portrayal.

Thankfully the male lead is attractive because the mature scenes are…awkward. It’s like seeing an accident but you can’t help but look. Poor guy was put in the role of a 30 year-old when he looks the same age as FL. Then the FL is portrayed naive like a child even though she is 20. Which is extremely annoying through the whole thing.

If you plan to watch, go in to it knowing this is not your average drama. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it better than I did.

Light and enjoyable

I often like to watch dramas that aren’t too heavy on crying and tragedy, unless I’m mentally prepared for it. This drama is more light and filled with several humorous parts.

The costumes and sets were very nice. I have to agree with another reviewer, though. The emperor’s earring was a little distracting.

Battle scenes were fairly simple and didn’t require the constant blood spitting as in some dramas. A few moves seemed funny, but that didn’t bother me since it’s within the tone of the drama.

I enjoyed watching the ML and FL lead together. She did well making the character so likable, smart, brave and honest. And he the handsome, skilled hero.

The OST is lovely. After a few episodes, I was looking forward to hearing the opening music each time.

In all, it’s a mediocre level drama but fun to watch. Give it a go.

Heartwarming

An enjoyable watch from beginning to end. This drama gives warm family feels with a puzzle piecing plot. As you go along the writer gives you the story piece by piece.

All the characters are likable/lovable. The sincerity of the ML and FL touch your heart, but you will also find many humorous moments to give a good balance.

This was my first plunge into watching a Korean drama. Thanks to a friend’s recommendation it was a good one. I love a feel-good drama, so I give this a high rating.

Make sure to watch past the first few episodes. It gets better as it goes along.
