This series starts off strongly, packed with lots of drama - we have cheating, work problems, teenage kid rebellion and murder in the opening episode! The drama is 20 episodes so you'd expet a slow burn and yet things appear to happen at break-neck speed. Plot points are teased, brought out in the open and resolved within an episode or two and it builds up to a huge mystery that leaves the ending of the series as unsatisfying, especially as many questions remain. It is still a good series if you like twists and turns. It isn't a very romantic series - it focuses more on psychological issues and the family unit rather than highlighting particular relationships, though some do exist. Still it isn't a series for folks who love a good ship, even though the tension is there between Shim Jae Bok and Kang Bong Goo. The acting is fantastic though - especially the child actors. Che-Ri in particular stole every scene she was in! I wasn't sure I was going to like this when I first started and I'm quite new to k-drama, but I was hooked and found myself really looking forward to this each week just to see what crazy things happened! It does leave too many questions though, so perhaps it could do a 2nd season?
