Great Drama but Unrealistic Portrayal of Sexuality
This is an iconic drama in the BL world with Gun stealing the spotlight with his acting.WHAT’S GOOD:
Gun Atthaphan can portray emotional roles with incredible subtlety, making Third a very believable & relatable character. He’s an amazing actor and should definitely be casted in bigger titles. BL has an enormous following so it was smart for him to be involved in it. Can’t wait to see what else he will do in the future.
WHAT SHOULD BE ACKNOWLEDGED:
A 4/10-stars review above was accurate to pinpoint the lack of and unrealistic portrayal of sexualities. BL tends to be romantic fantasies written by straight females for straight females. It’s a genre of its own and should be acknowledged as straight female interpretation of gay relationships. It’s not “Call Me By Your Name” or anything of that level for sure.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable BL with great story and acting. Just don’t believe that’s how people’s sexuality really works :))

Feel-Good Romance with Intense Chemistry
Our Skyy is easily the best anthology of BL one-shots out there. It features all the favourite couples from GMMTV and serves as a good sum-up for each relationship and their type of love.1. PeteKao—Bickering love
2. KongpobArthit—Serious sorrowful but norm-defying love
3. PickRome—Forgiving love
4. InSun—Doubtful love
5, TeeMork—Confident love
This anthology has such high rewatching value as it’s so nostalgic and leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling by the end of each episode. The music is very iconic as well. It makes me tear up a little every time. There’s so much history behind each couple that makes this whole instalment worth every minute of this old fan.

Surprisingly Well Crafted, Better Than Jessica Jones
I know GMMTV usually does romance/BL dramas, but they can also amazingly adapt thriller novels, especially this one.The story is for sure a must-see, but what really makes this series shine is its production quality, which ACTUALLY SHOWS the gripping and believable story.
Every single detail from the actors’ chemistry with each other to the flow of each scene makes the whole experience seamless. There were no spare moments like you usually see in other Thai dramas where you’re just waiting for the character to finish reacting. I’m always like “I get it, he’s thinking really hard about the problem”. But with The Gifted, everyone’s reaction is there for a reason, and the scene never felt longer than it should. This, coupled with the extraordinary turn of events, pulls you into its world and the characters within it.
These characters are very well written with personally identifiable struggles. You may not see each of them develop far in the series (since it’s only 12 episodes and there are multiple mains), but you will definitely see the layers in their personality.
To be honest, this series is definitely better than the last season of Jessica Jones lol. Netflix should really get into this. They already have SOTUS on there; this would be such an amazing addition.
I’m a harsh critic but I was extremely impressed with The Gifted. I’m so glad they’re doing another season in 2020. Can’t wait.

Good Concept But Not Fleshed Out Convincingly
A/N: I’m still watching this series & will update my review after I’m finished. But for those who’re curious about the show, I’d say it’s another successful thriller from GMMTV. This time, with a philosophical twist. What’s good so far:
It starts from a small problem with low stakes to eventually asking a moral question to the audience—How do you want to deal with your hatred? Each character from the show reveals an aspect of hatred that increasingly blurs the line between reason and paranoia. It shows that “justice” can be subjective and personal vendetta brings ruins.
What could be better:
Some of the characters’ motivation for why to send the gift is not convincing enough, or wasn’t fleshed out fully in the show. If feelings were driving these actions, it didn’t show well in the show. Some of the scenes were a little dragged on but fortunately they didn’t really ruin the overall pace. Just took you out of the moment a little bit.
I’m still excited to watch this every Friday so I’d recommend you go watch it! The Eng Sub is pretty quick.

Bland and Forgettable, Same as the Original 2 Moons
There have already been 45 reviews by the time I’m writing this, but oh well, here’s the 46th!After watching the whole series, I still didn’t really get the hype behind this drama. The current rating is definitely higher than it should be. I admit, half of the cast is very good looking (Joong, Nine, & Pavel), but both the story and the acting fail my expectation.
If you’re in it for the BL and like to watch boys flirting and trying to get with each other, you’ll enjoy some of the moments in all three couples. Some of the dialogues are cute and you can see the chemistry between the actors.
However, if you actually want to watch a good drama, this is NOT it. The development of each relationship seems very forced, and it takes you out seeing how all of them are gay/bi. Like, that’s not realistic.
The actual filmmaking techniques are not good either, especially the camerawork & editing. It seems more like a school project than a professional piece.
The only redeeming quality about this series is the visuals of the cast :(
