Destined and My Fair Princess share the same actor, Ray Chang, who is righteous and very involved with both plots.

Growing up with MFP it was such a fun drama with historical tropes with multiple couples. Destined has a main couple but feels like a combination of all the couples of MFP. The FL in Destined resembled Zi Wei at the beginning, educated but lack confidence and the strength to fight but grows in confidence like Xiao Yan ZI. It's as if Zi Wei didn't become a princess but a smart business women who cares and tactical. The ML in destined resembles the fun and energy of Ray Chang's character in MFP but has immediate character growth becoming more like Fu Er Kang with his matureness and smarts.

The drama both have court drama, romance, comedy, action and so much more. I grew up with MFP and is one of my joys. Destined is the modernized version which shine the greatest part of the brotherhood, youth and love.

First of all it written by the same author, all the characters are green flags and no major drama or sad bits.

You can clear recognize their character developments as we meet the characters young in both the dramas mainly starting from highschool to being young adults. Both are very sweet and you will fall in love with all the supporting cast as well.

You definitely won't regret watching either especially if you like youth, romance and friendship.

Similarities are...
-Immature FL that don't clearly understand relationships (difference between lovers and friends)
-(Kinda) Mature ML that is friend-zoned or family-zoned
-The main character isn't what that was thought to be (demon/spirit), not human
-Have family issues, especially with their fathers
-Misunderstands with the other lead or fathers

Douluo Continent feels less mature like a 2/10 while Love and Redemption is a 4/10, but both are quite enjoyable. Douluo is a full-on RomCom while L&R can be a bit more tragic.
