this season has disappointed me a bit. i had expected better storyline for this than the first season, but it eventually got lost within the middle, and i find it unfortunate, especially the unforseen break up of siwoo and doha. this show had a great potential from season 1, but i can't say the same for season 2. anyways, i love the transition of them adding new characters, although i was still rooting for min and kimha. the second season was also cute, but i don't think it will surpass the first season in everything. this is the perfect drama for relaxing, or if you want a light-hearted school romance. i've been a fan of school-themed dramas and i can say that a-teen definitely reached my standards when it comes to these type of dramas. it's very cutesy and all, but at the same time, they implemented important school issues and how the characters solved it. although i was rooting for min and doha, the ending pairs were alright. also, kihyun and boram were SOOOOOO cute! just the perfect epitome of highschool love. *CHEF'S KISS* i am literally out of words. the first episode until the end really kept me on my seat. everything's SO great, that i would literally watch it over and over again. although their flaws were of course, not showcasing the depth of the twins' ability (which we're all still disappointed about, i get you) and the inconsistency of mon's character. like, it's impossible for her to not attend any of the gifted classes before her episode came? but other than that, kudos to the gifted team. i'm a sucker for plot twists (thank you, kdramas for grooming me to like the suspense genre) and the sudden plot twists nearing the end just took me aback. i felt like the twists were rushed? there was no clear transition whatsoever or even a second to give me a breather! but that's what emphasizes its suspense genre, and it gave me more reason to look forward to the second season, although lilly won't be in there anymore. 11/10 would recommend. no thoughts, head empty, just wangxian on the mind.
OH GOD I THANK THE HEAVENS FOR LETTING ME DISCOVER THIS AMAZING PIECE OF MEDIA.i dived into this drama thanks to my friends screaming about it, but got confused within the first five episodes that i had to drop it and wait until i got the momentum to continue it. i started this drama in 2020 but binged the remaining 45 episodes in 2021, and OH MY GOD why did i not finish it earlier??? literally *chef's kiss* i must say!
this drama hit the right spots for me as an angsty person. the whole wen clan arc really hurt my heart so bad but it was a different type of hurt that made me want to continue it instead of dropping it. not to mention the death of jiang yanli? i literally went full-on sobbing when she died like :(
but let's talk about wangxian! now here's what makes it different from other bl dramas. due to the censorship, they only have to incorporate queer themes subtly and THAT is what makes it different. the rabbits? the rooster scene? wei wuxian hanging around lan wangji in both of his lives? lan wangji immediately recognizing wei wuxian in the dafan mountain? wangxian referring to each other as soulmates? OH MY GOD it literally made me lose my mind!!!
in conclusion, literally the BEST (or if not, maybe ONE of the best) bl drama for me. i think i can never get over them in a few days, or even months, i give you that. i will forever think of them as one of my favorite fictional queer couples to exist.

A few years later, it became the talk of the town, and I kept seeing spoilers on Twitter, so I decided to continue watching it. This time, I became more engrossed in the drama, and surprisingly, I also find myself laughing together with Nanno whenever the main character in each episode is being punished. Her character is very mysterious, being able to transfer schools looking fine despite being hurt (and even killed) a couple of times. But the real question is, who is Nanno? Kitty answered that Nanno is the daughter of Satan, but I believe there is much more behind it.
Recommendable, although I advise everyone to be careful as it has many trigger warnings and disturbing scenes for some. I can't wait for season 2 and I somehow hope that Nanno gets her own backstory, of how she became the daughter of Satan, as Kitty said.

This is by far, one of the series I don't regret watching. It introduces us to different lives of different people. We have Neo and Miw, who are both working in bars for a living, and we have Shin, a wealthy son of a mafia leader. Their differences is what made this series interesting. They tackled a lot of real-life issues in here, prostitution, rape, murder, polyamory, and one of my personal favorites, the representation of the LGBTQ+ community. GMMTV isn't a stranger when it comes to the BL industry, and them incorporating polyamory relationship between a gay man, bisexual man, and a straight woman is definitely one of their best moves, not to mention Jennie's role as a transgender (I'm actually glad they picked her to play the role, not some other ciswomen). This drama is definitely an eye-opener to everyone, not only because of the LGBTQ+ representation, but also about prostitution, which is highly regarded as an immoral job to some. Great job to everyone, especially Mild, Joss, and Tay. Was this review helpful to you?

I was very excited to watch this since people on Twitter were recommending this, so I figured out it was as great as The Gifted, so I gave it a shot. My hopes became higher when I saw my favorite actors starring in here, Nanon, Chimon, Prim, Toptap, Drake, Frank, and most importantly, Love. Since I am a fan of suspense genre, the plot appealed to me, thus giving me more reasons to continue watching the show. But as I was nearing to the end, all the plot twists shocked me to the point I almost gave up on it, not to mention the unnecessary romance they forced unto the Blacklist and the Veggie Gang. Yes, Chimon and Love were cute, also Nanon and Prim, but the other characters? I couldn't even see their chemistry. Not to mention the ending! It has disappointed me so much and it left us many unanswered questions. Why wasn't Jinmanee jailed after everything she'd done to Fah? Why wasn't her license revoked, at least? What happened to the God's Hands? It became a mess in the end. But this was somehow recommendable, but not worth rewatching. Was this review helpful to you?

I would rarely give out almost-perfect and perfect scores, but Where Your Eyes Linger deserves it. I am not exactly a fan of friends to lovers trope (hence the 9.5 rating) but mutual pining? The angst? It's what makes this drama enjoyable for me. When you thought Korea couldn't produce good homosexual dramas/films on national TV, the team of WYEL proved us wrong. Everything they incorporated here was perfect. And the fact that they weren't exactly friends makes it more interesting. A bodyguard falling in love with his boss, who would eventually fly out to another country? Damn, sign me up! Not to mention the angst they gave us on Episode 7. There was intimacy, there was yearning, there was tenderness, and above all, the love between them was present. And the ending? God knows how much I cried when they reunited. I may be a sucker for angsty plots without happy endings, but still, WYEL brought me to tears despite having the ending we all hoped for. A big applause to everyone who worked hard for Korea's first ever BL drama. Was this review helpful to you?

vincenzo cassano, i will serve you.
i haven't watched any kdrama for months until i watched vincenzo. i was at first curious why was my mom laughing while watching this, given its mafia-law plot but then as i got to the first episode, i understood now why she found it funny.the comedy balanced out the heavy elements of the drama, considering that it dealt with corruption and LOTS of blood. the geumga-cassano family will always have my heart as they did from the first episode. i love park seokdo and his subordinate's development, went from babel's employees to part of the family. although i will forever laugh at how he was very much afraid of vincenzo in the first episode.
taecyeon. my god ok taecyeon. i've watched him in let's fight ghost before, so him taking on a villain role was a new experience for me and he portrayed it so WELL! the way hanseok's personality changes when he's with chayoung to being the ceo of babel, literally *chef's kiss*. i love how jang hanseok's very unhinged, and he did justice to him.
jang hanseo, my poor baby :( i never paid attention to him because like what the characters in the drama said, he's just stupid with someone backing him up. towards the end of the drama, i felt this sort of fondness toward him, especially when he decided to turn his back on hanseok and start working with vincenzo. his death really devastated me (and my whole family) because he just found himself a brother that takes care of him and then all of a sudden, he's DEAD. i will forever cry at the way he calls vincenzo his 'hyung' and how he copies his moves.
and song joongki, my vincenzo cassano. he's literally perfect for the role LIKE? every time vincenzo shows up with this mafia aura around him, i can't help but swoon over him. he's so SOOOO sexy and the casting director really made a good job casting him as the perfect vincenzo cassano.
all in all, this goes to the list of my favorite kdramas. i never expected to watch a drama with joongki in it but here we are, having brainrot over this drama the moment i finished it. kudos to everyone!
