Heartbreaking and morally grey
This is a movie that started out kind of slow; I was a little bored at the start and didn't really like any of the characters.
But this movie has a cast and a vibe that just grows on you over time. Around the 80% mark, it just got so good and I love the morally grey questions that it was asking, very subtly. I cried so hard at this and at the ending — It was sort of bittersweet but I think it's amazing when a movie makes you question what you think is right and Shoplifters definitely did that for me.
