cute, short, sharp
There is a lot of good things that can be said about getting to the point quickly, and not wasting the audience's time with details that distract the attention from the real story. This is an excellent example of a TV series that gets to point, makes the point, and does it in an elegantly and tastefully. In just 8 short episodes, viewers get to see a love story free of side shows and other distractions. And, if you don't catch everything the first time around, you can binge watch it again and still finish it in a short time. The story is good enough and solid enough that - if the producers wish - they can do a sequel.

you grow into it
It's interesting that while it looks and feels like a very fast-paced serial drama, it really is a bit of slow-burn that brings the viewer gradually into whatever is happening on the screen. A little bit of online reading up on the state of LGBTQ affairs in Thailand, this is likely one of those where we can say that, yes, it's possible that this is really how things are evolving when it comes to same-sex relationships there. And this is a good thing - a timely drama that entertains, and also informs. This series will have a very wide audience everywhere it's shown.

talent and technology can't make up for a bad story
This is a flawed story line right from the start. Neither the screenwriter or the director attempted to smooth out the many obvious imperfections in the story. They tried to make up for it by adding humor. But even the humor is not enough to remedy the big hole in the production - the lack of a good story. The writer and director could have done more. The case was average - not bad; but because the script was bad, all the talent does not make up for the poor story. I tried to give this chance by watching a few episodes. But in the end, the story was lame. Was this review helpful to you?
bad premise
Nothing spoils an otherwise good production more than a bad story or plot line. The premise on this series was not really believable. It needed a lot more work so that it looked like a reasonable plot. It is a little difficult to find fault in the other factors of the production because the much depends on the story. The acting was fine - the characters were very easily likeable. The musical score was fine - nothing uplifting; but it was generally okay. Even the sets and art direction were good. But the story was bad.

One other minor point... I find it not very believable to see how a "tasting menu" involves only 1 dish for each contestant - a single dish item is not a menu. It is a dish. A menu involves more than 1 dish.
But overall still, this is a pleasant series that is worth watching, or re-watching. I think some viewers might even say this is a "cute" series.
