This is the first time I am writing a review. First of all, I been seeing about this drama on twitter a lot but never actually read the summary or watched the trailer. I know this drama got quite a positive review and is hyped in Korea but I never thought I would really loving watching this much.
I watched it on Netflix without knowing what the story was about. I normally dont like Idol as lead but I like lead actor with his dreamy voice and I don't mind IU acting that much so I decided to watch it with my mother.
Already from the first ep I was hook in the drama and I find the acting IU did was really amazing that I even forgot that she was IU. She played her character pretty well and I could totally sympathize with her character as the story goes on.
For the lead actor, his acting and character were also astonishing. This drama is one of the few drama I didnt skip scenes, which means everyone and every scenes were worth the watch. The drama might be slow for some people but in my opinion it was just right and not boring. Even the minor characters were well thought and executed. What makes the drama amazing is that we could see the character development as the story goes on. There are funny scenes, sad and emotional scenes as well as some love stories. Everything is included in drama and is overall fun to watch. I finished this drama in 3 days and watched till 3am in the morning.
My mister has really great OSTs too. I ended putting few of them in my playlist. Every time I listen to them I was filled with emotions, end up thinking about the drama and how much I loved it.
If you love dramas like Miesang or Prison Playbook, you will totally enjoy My Mister too.

Underrated Drama

I watched this drama few months ago so my memory might be kind of blury. but i still remember really enjoying it. I started this drama bc I was fan of both actor and actress and since I genuinely like this type of drama. First few eps didn't really pull me in so I really thought of dropping but it get better and interesting. I like how the drama is realistic and speak up themes like how women are handled at works and home. Many cases are interesting to watch and the chemistry between the characters are great too. This drama isn't too heavy or too light. Just middle ground...perfect drama for me. Even tho this drama is about prosecutors it isnt like the drama "Stranger " where you have heavy cases like murders. They just have simple cases like thefts, fights or scams type of cases which are still interesting to watch. I definitely recommend you to watch. Just head up: There isn't any romance between the characters.

I watched it because I saw there was already Season 2 and assumed it must have been good.
Lead Actor & Actress:
The male lead Jang Hyuk is one of the actor I like since I been watching his dramas since I was young, so I was excited to watch but the actress Lee Ha na is one of actress I tried to avoided watching as lead because of her kind of awkward acting but surprisingly she did her job pretty well in this drama and she suited her character. But character Jang Hyuk was playing kind of annoyed me for some reasons. I feel he should listens more to female lead, not always act tough and get in fights all the time but his character does improved in later eps.
Kim Jae Wook did an amazing job as psycho character. And he was pretty handsome which is a bonus for us.
Storyline:
It was quite an interesting concept and loves the cases they had in the drama but somehow in later eps I got bored. I feel like I was more interested in those small cases rather than finding out who the actually killer was because I feel like it was pretty obvious who is actual killer is. When they concentrated more on catching that killer I lost interest but I did watched till the end.
Sometimes I feel like cops in the drama were too slow and I got so frustrated watching when they dont move quick enough and just standing there or started talking with each other and I be there like:"Hey she/he is going to die....Stop fighting..Go and save them". Overall the drama was okay and I finished till the end but is not the best crime drama I ever watched. The acting was great but some of the characters were annoying or useless. I dont hate the drama but I dont really recommend anyone to watch it unless you have too much time and love the leads.
OST:
I dont think I even remember any songs from the dramas.

Great: -
1. the male leads are amazing. Especially the actor who played the character Wang Zhi did such a great job. It surprised me that it was his first acting job. Hope he can get many projects in the future.
2. no romance. It is more of a bromance drama and I love it. The relationship between the three male leads is great
3. The fighting scenes are so good choreographed. Definitely one of the best fighting scenes I have seen in a while
4. The female characters aren't annoying like some dramas. Duoer character was bit annoying at first but at later eps i got used to her character. Other than that most female characters are sympathetic and easily likeable.
5. Detective stories are connected. It is definitely not a drama where there is a new case every ep. The stories are longer and tje cases are connected in a way which make it quite interesting.
6. The comedy parts are quite funny and I always loved their expressions and reactions. Especially love when SuiZhou reaction to Tangfan actions.
7. WANG ZHI....yes that its. I love him so much. Why is he soo good. His script is definitely well written and the acting too. The first scene he appeared I know he gonna be my favourite in the drama. He looks so cute when he smiles. He stole the show for me. I love other main characters but wangzhi is just chef kiss. Thank you for including great character and actor lile him.
Bad things:
1.The main character Tangfan started out really clever but somehow the writers started making him bit annoying and he acts so dumb and doesn't think properly even though he was supposed to be genius. His actions doesn't make sense sometimes and he trusts people too easily. But when there is scenes where got his clever mind back and act like one, he is definitely a great character to watch. 2. The dubbing for SuiZhou bothered me at first a lot because it sounded too monotone like he has no emotions and the lines felt like it was read from a book BUT after few eps I got so used to his voice and become to love the way he talks. I also think that after few eps his line delivery definitely improved and got more emotions in it. I was surprised to read that his voice was dubbed by the actor himself. It might sound bit weird in the beginning but I got used to his voice and the way of talking pretty quick.
3. I wish the bromance was much stronger. In the beginning the story is written in way that the male leads interacted quite a lot and showed a lot of bromance but in later eps they don't have much scenes together. It was sad bc i definitely love their friendship/relationship between them.
4. Some scenes are quite long and unnecessary. Sometimes i just skip and skip but they just dragged out.
5. There is no season 2. Whyyyy....

One of my fav BL drama of 2021

I didn't have much participation or hope..i just watched it because i saw a edit on YouTube and looked interesting. And omg I absolutely fell in love with the casts and the story. First of all story isn't new or most interesting thing ever but I love how the story was filmed...the director did great job with that storytelling and the scenes are well taken... It wasnt boring to watch or have any scenes I have to skip... all the characters were sympathetic and doesn't have any annoying girls like other bl dramas. only problem was it was too short. Only 6eps?!?!??!! Because of that if felt little to fast to end...but still it was great to watch and the acting from both main actors doesnt awkward at all. They showed their emotions pretty well...the scenes at the bridge is my fav scene from all the bl dramas i watched. The emotions are so well displayed. I just wish it was longer so we could see more them being cute together. Currently watching season 2 but can definitely see it will be more heartbreaking and more drama compared to 1st season. Can't wait

Recommend

I was not planning to watch this drama at all because I have never saw the work of the actress Ga young before and not really fan of romantic drama. I know she is getting popular because of her new drama True beauty so I searched her online and actually found her sympathetic. Then I saw thosd behind the scenes vids of this drama on yt. I totally thought the main character won't suit each other because of their age gap but I was totally wrong. When I saw their chemistry off camera I give this show a chance and I didn't regret. I be totally honest this drama isn't the best drama ever of 2020 but it is not a bad drama either. I can recommend if you like the cast and storyline. I do wish the thriller part which was Stalker in this drama was more well written...for Acting all the casts did amazingly. The song was great too. The romance is kind of slow but fun to watch him falling in love with the girl. If you have time to waste I can definitely recommend to watch....

Best Doctor DRAMA

This is one of my fav doctor drama together with Hospital playlist. I finished this drama in 2 days that i watched till 6am.
Storyline:
It is doctor dramas so ofcourse many surgerys and sad stories.....but this drama just make it interesting and make me keeps watching. The villian was pathetic but still i enjoy watching bc he kept losing and losing.
Acting/characters
I totally love Teacher kim character....he totally the star of the drama. I even forgot he is acting and not the real doctor....I like his facial expressions and acting. It feel so natural and real.
At first i though i was going to hate the female lead bc she little bit annoyed me in 1st ep BUT i actually love her....she is so adorable too. I love how she is a talented doctor and did her best to heal her patients.
The male lead Kang Dong Joo has great character development and it is quite nice to watch how much he improved and become to love the Hospital tho he hated at first.
My fav character and a crush is probably Do In Bum....He started as bad character but you could totally see how he changed to became a better doctor despite his father bad influence. He is totally a eye candy and I think i fell in love....
Overall I don't have anything to complain about the acting bc everyone did so good that I might just believe they are real doctors....and not actors acting as doctors.

Just recently watched and loved it. Totally recommended if you love watching doctor drama. Even though it was doctor drama which can be quite depressing with all the diseases and sometimes dead in drama it was really refreshing to see a happy doctor drama and is my one of the best doctor drama I ever watched. There were funny moments, sad and emotional as well as love story lines.
I think it was quite amazing concept to see all 5 doctors being friends and relying each others without love interest in this friend circle. Of course there were some crushes and so on but the drama doesnt concentrate on that. We got to see their true friendship and it is such a goal. It is also new for me in a doctor drama is that all of them were in different department and we got to see different aspects and stories of the individuals. There were no actual evil/bad character in the drama and even the characters who were rich were humble and fun to watch.
I watched on Netflix and sadly some of the medicine words were not translated as korean TV did and I had to google but still it was enjoyable to watch.
Lead Actor/Actress:
Jung Kyung Ho is one my fav actor and I watched almost all of his drama and this time too he didnt disappoint me. He played his character pretty well and loved it.
Jo Jung Suk is also a great actor and is there anything he cant do?He can act, he is funny, can sing and also dance. He is also married to one of my fav singer. He is so funny in this drama and it suited him so well.
This is the third drama I watch from Yoo Yeon Seok and I totally liked him since 1994. His character in the drama is one of my fav and I totally enjoyed it. He looks extra handsome too.
I watched many kdramas and know many actors and actresses but this is my first time seeing Jeun Mi do in a drama. Later i learned she is a musical actress but it was funny to see how she played tone deaf person in the drama. Overall she was amazing even though it was i think her first drama to act. Her character was funny and also charming.
I actually didnt recognize Kim Dae Myung was in Misaeng and was whole time thinking about how he looks familiar to me. My mother commented that he wasnt that good looking compared to others but I found him handsome and charming as the story goes on. I was charmed by him the more I watch. He acts slow and introvert in the drama but I totally liked his character.
They all did amazing job and their character were well written. The story was great too. We can enjoy songs as well as watch drama about medical field. I dont have any characters I hated or disliked. The drama is not fast paced drama but everything is paced well.
OST:
There were many songs played and sung by lead actors & actresses. Great songs.

Lightweight Romane comedy

I just finished watching this drama. And I neither hate it or love it. Firstly I watched bc of Jinyoung knowing he be 2nd lead. For Story it is quite lightweight for a historical drama since most of them tend to be heavily political and display the cold nature of the palace. Most of the characters in this dramas are nice. Which is ofcourse not a bad thing. I like the main couple but find the romance a bit lacking. I found it more fun at the beginning when the main couple is quarreling a lot and it was quite cute to watch but they fell in love too easily and too early (Just my opinion). The actress is too pretty and feminine to act as a boy but it is just drama so I could overlook and pretend that everyone believed she was a boy. Tbh I don't hate the actress but I feel like something is lacking with the acting or her character in this particular drama (I like her in other roles). Both male leads fell in love with her character even tho she wasn't any special. What does she have that other doesn't have. I prefer the 2nd female lead more. It get interesting in the beginning and fell flat in the middle that i just wanted to drop but at the end it again get interesting when the dramas get bit political and shows what the Prince can do. I really cringed a lot when they do the slow motions thing where they grab the arm of female lead to stop her from going or doing something or looking too long into the eyes when there are so many people around them even though they are not supposed to be recognised by other that they in love..... one or two times is great but if this keep happening it is just annoying. It is also annoying when they show the same recap over and over again. I wished the female lead was stronger and more independent that she doesn't need to be constantly saved by someone. She kept getting rescued by so many people....I do think at least male lead was well written...he is clever, royal to his friends and lover additionaly kind to his people. He takes actions and abuse his power as prince when he needed to. Overall the drama itself was nice to watch because all the actress and actors are eye candys. As conclusion it was not the best kdrama I watched but I can't say that I hated it. If you love the actors or actresses you should definitely watch it.
