The journey is somewhat bittersweet
It's the story of a charismatic individual who utilizes his accidentally discovered potential to the fullest, rise to the pinnacle against all odds and then fall back to square one due to his lack of realistic senses and awareness. I actually binge watched both the seasons of The Naked Director and honestly speaking, I liked the story and acting of season 1 better than that of season 2. The lead actor, Yamada Takayuki (who played the role of Toru Muranishi), did an excellent job with his acting skill and it was simply flawless. Morita Misato who played the role of Koruki Kouri / Meguma Sahara has also beautifully demonstrated the expressions of her revolutionary role and all her body languages seemed so free and natural.
Almost all actors did a great job with their acting skills to put on a good show and it is definitely praiseworthy. I liked watching both the seasons simply out of curiosity to learn more about the revolution of porn industry and how it effects the people involved in its making and I wasn't at all disappointed. At one point, you'll kinda guess where the story is heading and and yes, it has a bittersweet ending. The journey of this drama seemed more realistic than most dramas that we see and I'd definitely recommend anybody to watch this drama.
FYI there's plenty of sexual scenes and violence in this drama, so if you think it'll be too much for you then I'll definitely suggest you not to take the chance to watch this drama. If you can watch this drama as a documentary while enjoying the acting and story then I believe you'll enjoy the show :)
