I'm amazed and happy with this improved season of Crime Scene. The pacing was better and the stakes were higher in each case. And that finale! Just wow and I literally applauded in amazement and shocked all throughout the last 2 episodes.

Story - Although I loved season 1 due to having their cases based on true murder crimes that happened in reality, season 2 focused on creativity and raising the suspicions in each suspects in the cases. There were multiple times that I was unsure of my prime suspect until the very end. I loved the twists and turns in each cases. My personal favorites would be: Ep 3, Ep 4: The Pageant Murder, Ep 7-8: The Cruise Ship, Ep 11: The Cabin and of course the awesome finale 12-13.

Acting/Cast - I miss some of the cast members of season 1 but season 2 was strong with the 5 main cast. They were really funny that I found myself laughing out loud countless times and also they were smart in deducting the cases. Last season my favorite was Hong Jin Ho, but in this season I would give it to Jang Jin. He was the best in deducting and connecting the clues into puzzle pieces and to conclude into one perfect story. He was also great in acting the characters that he was given. The most improved from Episode 1 until the Finale would be Hani. She finally found her stride in the cases after a few episodes. All the guests were great and each of them had me hoping they would be also added to the main cast especially Kim Ji Hoon, Xiumin and Kwon Boa. I also love seeing Kim Min Hyuk, NS Yoon Ji, and Jun Hyun Moo as their appearances in the cases brought back season 1 memories. One small thing I would love to see progress which didn't happen was the role of the Assistant Detective. I had hoped he was given more things to do other than just appearing in the beginning and in interrogation.

Music - I loved how they added music to some scenes that added flavor to the cases. There were romantic, funny, scary, and even sad music that were added during the episodes which was an improvement also in this season.

Rewatch Value: Similar to last season, I rated it the lowest because there's no suspense and thrill anymore if you rewatch it.

Overall: 9.5/10. This season was an amazing roller coaster ride. I will miss the amazing cast in this season as I saw that there were some names that are not in season 3.

Here I go, Season 3!

I stumbled upon this show while searching for varieties like Busted. And surprisingly (maybe due to my personal taste), I find Crime Scene to be a lot better than Busted. I only recently completed Crime Scene 1 and I'm still pumped with adrenaline (from the thrill and thinking from the show) while writing this review.

Story - I love how each case was based on a true crime that occurs in reality. Not only does it elaborate details related to the crime, the show also informs the viewers some ways to prevent it. I really found the format of this show awesome and unique. My personal favorite cases would be: Ep 3 & 4: The School Murder, Ep 7: The Prison, and Ep 10: The Finale.

Acting/Cast - I love how there are no clear alliances and suspicions are thrown against each other. I found myself loving some of the chemistry between some of the "suspects" they were playing during the cases. My personal favorite of the cast would be Hong Jin Ho because I find him smart and I like him so far in this season. I really thought Henry was weird during his appearances. Out of all the guests, my top picks would be Kang Min Hyuk and the real detective that appeared with him. I think the most improved out of the main cast would be Kim Yoon Ji and I am sad that she won't be in the 2nd season. Lastly, out of everybody, I find Park Ji Yoon leaving a bad taste during the last 2 episodes with her choice of words and her temper.

Music - I didn't really took notice of the music during the cases but I rated it 10 because I loved the last music they used during the last scenes of the last episode. It gave me some feels that it was ending its first season.

Rewatch Value: I rated it the lowest because there's no suspense and thrill anymore if you rewatch it.

Overall: 9/10. There are flaws and pacing issues especially in the first few episodes but I'm glad that the show found ways to improve itself as episodes go by.

Now, off to binge-watching season 2!

This was a lighthearted and great film about friendship and a last wish of a brother/friend.
I expected it to be comedic and it indeed made me laugh multiple times throughout the film. The comedy was sometimes subtle yet it made me laugh out loud and replay those scenes. What I didn't expect was the light and emotional touches that was also incorporated all throughout the film. The friendship between Gao Yuan, Zheng Yang, and Xu Hao was beautiful! It was the focus of the film and it did not disappoint. Although I already know where the story leads to with having Gao Yuan sick and with the title "Last Wish", it was still poignant and well executed which had me in tears by the end of the film. The visuals of the movie was also great and pleasing to the eyes. All the casts' acting were amazing but for me, the one who stood out the most was Peng Yu Chang's emotional acting: bringing the character Gao Yuan to life and to be loved by his friends and also by us viewers.

"Between life and baseball, we’re trying our best."

This was such a beautiful masterpiece of a webseries! This is my first time giving an overall 10 rating to a mini-series!

Story: The story was simple yet amazing. Each episode focused on a character and his/her struggles between life and baseball. You can't help but get attached to the team and the players. The details in correlating baseball terminologies with the struggles in everyday life was very well done and touching. I cried a lot of tears: from pure joy to heart wrenching sadness. The story flow was excellent for a mini-series and it left me wanting more or to have this adapted into a drama.

Acting/Cast: All of them were great. I like the lead narrating every episode, Kim Kyung Shik. I've seen the actor, Lee Jong Won, in Unfamiliar Family but he was a side character there. In this mini-series, he showed range and showed capability in being the main lead in a series. All of them acted amazingly as I also felt the emotions they were displaying during the episodes. I really really want this cast to have a drama out of this.

Music: 100 out of 100! All their osts and music were just magical and fit right the feels! I ended up adding like more than 10 songs in my spotify playlist because of this series!

Rewatch: I am not the type to rewatch much but I would love to watch this again.

"It's not our fault."

A short beautiful drama special about overcoming judgement especially regarding physical appearances. The story is simple yet I found it powerful in conveying the message and at the end of the film, I found myself in tears of how beautiful the message and the film is. It's all about our leads, a short boy and a tall girl, willing their selves to overcome their worlds in different heights. The shots all throughout the film were aesthetically pleasing and really amazing. AND THE OSTS! All soundtracks were amazing especially when the piano version of Dancing in the Dark (Joji) and an acoustic version of Sk8ter Boi (Avril Lavigne) played! It added to the feels. The acting of the cast were amazing and they brought emotions to the character they were playing especially the two leads! I feel sad because it was short and it could benefit in having a movie length of 2 hours but still this drama special was just beautiful. I hope many will discover this gem because I find it underrated especially in terms of views in youtube.

In comparison to the 2 previous seasons, this was the weakest by far in terms of cast chemistry. Nonetheless, it was still a great season full of fun, thrill and twists that was on par with the other seasons.

Story - I love how crazy the characters and the cases in this season. There were a lot of shockingly - amazingly ridiculous - twists that up the stakes of each suspects. There multiple times that I was not able to decide on a firm prime suspect in the end. The finale was great in terms of calling back memorable moments all throughout the season and also it was the funniest out of all 12 episodes. Episode 3: The Police School Murder was my ultimate favorite episode. Other honorable mentions are: Ep 6: The Coffee Shop. Ep 9: The Mansion Case, and Ep 11: The Island Town. However, I find it lacking that we weren't shown more reactions after each case and how they sit down and talk while picking role cards.

Acting/Cast - My problem with the cast is their chemistry during earlier episodes were not that good. It took time before they get to mesh well together. My favorite in this season is Kim Ji Hoon with his amazing and funny acting alongside his great deductions. My favorite guests were NS Yoonji and Hani because it was their appearances that manage to bring the Crime Scene vibes back to being similar with the previous seasons. Adding Hong Jin Ho back at the later episodes also was a great choice as it managed to provide great moments for the show. I still wish the assistant detective was given a bigger role and I felt bad because he worked hard taking down notes during the case briefing but he was only asked of his opinion a few times.

Music - My opinion on this is the same as last season so I copied it down: I loved how they added music to some scenes that added flavor to the cases. There were romantic, funny, scary, and even sad music that were added during the episodes which was an improvement also in this season.

Rewatch Value: Similar to previous seasons, I rated it the lowest because there's no suspense and thrill anymore if you rewatch it.

Overall: 8.5/10. I scored it lowest out of the 3 seasons because there were some cases that I felt bored especially the earlier cases. But it was still a fun and amazing season that I felt sad that it ended.

Here's to hoping for a season 4!

This was better than season 2 with an improved format where 1 member hides the money and pretends to be looking for it with the others during the episodes. Although this season was way funnier and better, it still suffered from some parts being boring wherein the games where repetitive and the preparing for lunch/dinner were also boring. Still, the cast were more comfortable with each other and they vastly improved from season 1. Son Dam Bi and Ki Young were both the most improved! Especially shocked with Son Dam Bi because her clue-hunting skills and deductions were not that good during season 1 but in season 2 she was amazing. I really like Do Yeon also for being funny along with Ki Young. Among the guests, Somin in ep 1 and 2 was the best and brought a lot to the table. This season also suffered due to having strong first episodes with Somin and followed with somewhat lackluster episodes but the final episode made up for the suspense and for catching the culprit. Overall, it is still a fun watch following season 1.

I found this show while searching for variety tv similar to Crime Scene. Although Crime Scene was still better in terms of being mysterious, thrilling, and wholesome in clue-finding with deductions, Village Survival The Eight was still fun and have some parts that are thrilling.

Village Survival, The Eight had a unique format but I find the title weird because it was not really about surviving. The show focuses on games that can win hints and finding the hidden money. There are some parts where it was boring to my taste especially when they were shown preparing for lunch and dinner but the clue finding and revealing of the person who found the money saves it and made up for those times. It's still a fun season full of laughs especially in the first 4 episodes where I found myself crying from laughter especially because of Do Yean and Dam Bi. Those two are my favorites in the show. The last episodes were kind of boring but the ending made up for it. I'm looking forward to watching season 2!

I'm still shaking from the thrill I got from the last few episodes.

This was an amazing and emotional roller coaster ride! I got sucked in immediately with the first episode. The foundation was set and the suspense really crept in during the first few episodes. I can't write a review without spoiling it so these has mostly spoilers below this paragraph so be warned.

I love how the drama didn't shy away from presenting us the ultimate person who we should be suspicious of in the first episode. They clearly showed the creepy neighbor's disgusting actions to drive our female lead to isolation and despair. Yet, the drama series didn't lack in suspense. What I thought was a clear cut solution that the creepy neighbor was already the Hamelin culprit at the beginning forked into multiple paths and possibilities during the fourth episode and so on. The last few episodes took my breath away as everything is pieced together beautifully and emotionally. This was also made possible with credits to the amazing acting of ALL of the cast! Our female lead really stood out among the pack as you can't help but root for her and her character development until the end of the series was superb. I love her acting especially her sometimes funny facial expressions! Also kudos to the actress who played the creepy neighbor because she really made me hate her character and her acting was also great during the emotional scenes.

In a sense, there are multiple ways a mother shows her love to her children. There were some twisted ways of showing love in this drama but it still kept its track on the theme of mother hood and love. Although it was dark and twisty, typical of a Japanese drama, this was still a solid and a surprising 9.5/10 for me!

Arigatou, Suna no Tou team!
