The ex reminds me a lot of the ex in liar in terms of her actions...like bruh if the man does not want you doing the most will not make him want you more...

In addition the premise is somewhat similar the girlfriend finding out that her boyfriend is actually engaged to someone else.

Its premise reminds me alot of birth of a beauty. Both have significant others who betrayed their trust for a women and they decide to get revenge on them

Both female leads experience betrayal at the hands of their boyfriends/fiances who have been with them for a long time.

Both boyfriends leave them for conglomerate heiresses.

Both boyfriends are assholes and you hate them more and more with each episode.

Both FL's wanted freedom and hated the idea of being stuck in the palace waiting for the one they love to visit them at his convenience.

Both ML's deeply loved the FL's

Both FL's are smart and are reluctant to love the ML for fear of what their lives will becomes.

Both Female Leads make major decisions about their future based on "love".

Be Yourself is about college life where as AIWFLIS focuses more on relationships

Somewhere only we know is also about a group of dormmates who are just figuring things out....It has alot of similarities with 'Be Yourself' but in my opinion, SOWK feels a lot more mature.

1. It has the whole different love interest aspect...
2. The rich girl who has a strained relationship with her dad...
3. The guy one of the FL's loves loving one of the other girls in the dorm...
4. the completely clueless and mostly spoiled by the other doormates girl...

To be honest I prefer SOWK a little more because it feels a lot more realistic and the friendships seemed more genuine.

There's a particular storyline in A Gentleman's Dignity where one of the ML's has a child and he's reluctant to be with the girl he loves because of it...he's afraid of how people would speak about her and judge her because she's with a man who has a child.

In a gentleman's dignity, there's this part where the main characters are broken up but the FL refuses to accept it because she loves the ML so much...so she makes him promise to always come whenever she calls him and do whatever she wants him to do until she accepts the breakup and he agrees because he feels guilty. That reminds me about the whole contract situation in ROL.

Secondly, Kim Min Jong is a ML in a gentleman's dignity as well...

There's also the whole unrequited love that happens in both.

Both Main leads suffer from a dissociative disorder. Both experience having their alter ego be in love with someone that they are unfamiliar with. Both have no idea how to cure themselves.

The general vibe is the same especially with the side stories and both couples are really cute.
