I'm halfway through now and I'm really surprised how much I actually like the series. It reminds me a lot of Lovesick, which is one of my favorite BL series. Maybe I'm just a sucker for shaved heads and big ears though xD
Of course the show has its flaws and serves some common BL tropes, but at the same time it conveys some valuable messages.
I like the chemistry of the two main characters and how their relationship and their feelings develop. I think it's a huge plus that the series doesn't excessively use sound effects, jingles and weirdly placed music like many newer BL series do. I also like the pacing of the series and the absence of minute long staring into each others' eyes and slow motion almost kiss scenes.
I think the portrayal of Morks dad was really good and that the shop helper being transgender was not a big issue and wasn't made fun of gave me some hope.
The scene about sexual education was well done in my opinion. Talking about sexuality and LGBTQ+ topics is so important but gets often overlooked in BL series.
