The best part of this drama was definitely the friendship between the 4 that grew up together. They had great chemistry and left you wishing you had these lifelong forever friends that stuck by you through thick and thin. The actors were all very likeable and I was invested in each of their stories. The ML, I had never watched before but he was charming and charismatic and reminded me of an Asian Patrick Dempsey from ER (McDreamy) when he smiled! The chemistry between ML and FL was okay... they looked cute together but FL has always come across as being a little too one note for me.

38 episodes was long for this drama and I did fast forward through some episodes but overall, it was an easy watch for the friendships and the ML!

I’ve been wanting to watch this drama for a while because I really like both the ML and Fl. I thought it was going to be a fluffy rom com, but it was more about pursuing and fulfilling your career dreams. There were some cute moments between the leads, but then it tapered off and by episode 16, I realized they weren’t getting together any time soon. When they finally got together, I wasn’t sure if they actually did get together because they weren’t talking much and the FL was so unsure around the ML. I couldn’t tell until the last few episodes if she genuinely wanted to be in a relationship with him.

The last episode bothered me when the FL made a huge decision for the ML. This drama was big about making your own choices to pursue your dreams, whether in a relationship or in your career, yet the FL took that choice away from the ML. She let other people influence her and it wasn’t her decision to make as to what was supposedly good for him. The ending did make me happy although it was brief, it did end on a sweet note.

I really wanted to like this drama! The synopsis looked good and the leads looked cute together. Seemed like a light and fun drama to watch!! But sadly, I don’t know how many times I debated dropping this.

SPOILER ALERT!!

In most dramas, when the cold and aloof ML is rude or treats the FL poorly, he does something on the side to let us see his true feelings (covering the girl with a blanket or secretly helping her). Not this ML!! He liked to "push" and “shove” her around which might seem like flirting or play fighting (IF YOU'RE A GIRL!!), but for a guy he came off as a bully and jerk (he enjoyed himself too much). There just wasn’t any sweetness or gentleness and you couldn't even excuse his behavior as being socially awkward because he's wasn't. I was so relieved when the ML eventually came around in the 2nd half of the drama. Finally, we see him treat her with care and kindness (it was a long time coming!!)

The FL is said to be independent. Um....she is NOT! An independent person would not cook a full meal and clean for someone because they ORDERED her to. Nor would they allow themselves to be treated as badly as she was by her so called friend over and over again (I kept waiting for a backstory of their friendship and why she was keeping her around). Independent was the furthest thing to characterize the FL. She seemed to get meeker with each episode (her mouth barely moves when she speaks) and she always looked expressionless. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you FL’s personality. She always had that same blank, clueless look on her face... she looked the same eating dinner as she did when she accepted his proposal!!

This drama was definitely a miss for me but one I finished so I wouldn’t always wonder about it.

I'm not sure where to begin with this drama! I loved the first half. The ML and FL had such great chemistry together. FL was pretty and adorable and her antics with the ML were hilarious, yet sweet and innocent. ML was handsome (swoon-worthy smile!!) and charming and his reaction to FL was perfect too. There were definitely a lot of laugh out loud comedic and sweet moments.

Midway through though, it started to get really long because there was no resolution to ANYTHING. The obsessive ex-girlfriend and mad scientist never stopped being evil for 25 episodes, the evil stepmother and uncle were relentless for 27 episodes (I never could understand that one because the father treated the stepmother's son well and wasn't out to short change him), the FL one minute was crying for the ML (like heartbreak crying) and then the next minute she rejects him and acts like nothing is wrong (bright cheery smiles), which happened multiple times throughout the drama (did she like him or not?), and ML never finds out she's an alien until episode 26 (even though she's frozen time and done other things). I got so frustrated I ended up fast forwarding through episodes and just watched for the ML and FL.

The last 2 episodes though were gems and basically redeemed the drama. ML finds out FL is an alien and there's true communication and FL finally commits to ML (FINALLY). We finally get to see how heart warming, and genuine ML and FL's relationship could be and I have to say ML's acting chops were impressive (turn on the water works). The ending was well done and I'd love this drama if it were 10 episodes shorter!!

What in the World?!

This drama started off really well! It was light and fun and I really liked the FL and ML. I loved FL's confidence, independence, natural beauty, and even her quirky style because she wore it well and it set her apart. The middle got a little long but I think that's to be expected sometimes when the FL and ML get together too early and the chemistry isn't that strong. The problems they faced were resolved fairly quickly and there wasn't anything too dramatic or over the top.

Then comes Episode 20....the one everyone was commenting about. What in the world? If the entire drama was filled with melodrama, angst, and conflict that would be one thing. But to suddenly switch from a pretty happy go lucky drama to the last 5 episodes... was pretty ridiculous. Suddenly you have crying fits, self repentance, bloody tears, anger and devastation, and the perplexing scene at the airport (wasn't she just on life support...how is she now sitting in a wheelchair (albeit still in a coma)? It was a mess and I think that's pretty much the word to sum up the last few episodes.

Light Hearted and Fluffy Drama!

I stumbled upon this drama and was pleasantly surprised because I really liked it! Its a fluffy, light, and easy watch with 25 minutes episodes. The mini flashbacks in the beginning of each episode was a nice touch and let us know where the ML's heart really was. The chemistry between the leads was cute and I enjoyed both of the actors. They weren't perfect in their reaction to situations but I appreciated it because at the end of the day, it was how a 19 year old or 20 something year old would react.

The ML did a great job portraying the typical cold and socially awkward man who falls for the sweet and bubbly girl next door. The FL was cute and had the brightest smile. I liked that she didn't have the typical bob and straight bangs. Chinese dramas tend to dress the FL either as an 8 year old in Mary Janes (oh why!!!) or a grandmother in lace and frills, so I LOVE that she was in converse and overalls (can't ever go wrong with that combination). Her relentless pursuit of the ML set her apart from those of us that would have held onto our pride. But then again, who knows. The ML gave her enough hints to his true feelings so she wasn't off in believing he liked her. If anything, I think we saw her as the free spirit that the writer's wanted her to be.

Overall, I really liked this drama and time flew by watching 24 episodes!!

Major spoilers!!!
I was super excited to watch this drama. I’m usually not a fan of love triangles but I’ve always liked the leads, especially the FL.

The problem with this drama at least for me was that drama had us watching FL with SML for OVER 20 episodes yet it dropped enough hints that they were not going to be together!! Why have us watch these “sweet” scenes when it really doesn’t matter in the end?! ML and FL’s time together had depth and amazing chemistry. We saw ML grow as a person and show genuine regret and remorse. FL seemed to come alive and was her true self around ML This was such a sharp contrast to the bland and sugar coated relationship FL had with SML. Fights were brushed over and arguments “reasonably” solved (you lied for the ‘nth time but okay it was my bad because I should have known why you lied and so I forgive you … again?!). Sigh. Drama wanted us to see SML as perfect and a saint but it made him come across as pretentious and more flawed when he made a mistake.

In the later episodes, we start to see less of ML too… where I started to FF because I was wondering where he was. SML seemed more like the ML considering how much time was given to his story. Oh why do dramas do that when I’m pretty sure most viewers just want to see the FL and ML together.

Overall, it was okay.. . I’d watch it for the ML and FL’s story. Their scenes were heart warming, heart wrenching, and full of depth. Just wish there was more of them!!

I liked it but I didn't love it.

I was excited to watch this drama and the first half I really liked. The cast was fun to watch and I enjoyed watching the brother and sister banter. The last few episodes, however, got a little long for me. There were just TOO many conflicts and misunderstandings (angry parent, teacher gets suspended, student gets expelled, angry parent, teacher gets suspended, teacher gets fired). It was too much for both the FL and her brother to face SO many mishaps (maybe if it were just one of them).

I also didn't like how the FL did not give the ML a chance to explain his actions and refused to see him or talk to him. FL waited TEN years for this man (TEN YEARS) and she isn't willing to trust him enough to listen to him?! The chemistry between the leads was just okay for me too. I have to admit there were times when I thought the brother and sister had more chemistry (especially because in real life, he's only 2 years younger than she is).

I watched this drama because of the ML but I’m struggling with the FL. I actually don’t mind the smart guy and silly/dumb girl cliche but this FL is taking it to another level. It’s too much. I get being boy crazy but she’s borderline obsessive. FL’s “cuteness” and silliness is so overkill that it’s not cute anymore (can she please just STOP talking?!). I actually wonder if FL is a little slow mentally cuz she acts SO childish, it’s ridiculous... no way like a high school senior.

I want to stay around for the ML but the FL is making it really really hard.
