Itaewon Class was an emotional ride with an especially promising start. Just after the first two episodes, I felt immensely attached to the main character, Park Saeroyi, and was looking forward to following him on his journey. Throughout the 16 episodes, I definitely learned a lot from his hardwork and values. Park Seo Joon did a phenomenal job with his character and left me in absolute awe. Whether it may be understanding the beauty of life or being reminded the importance of hardwork; I was thankful to be able to get to know and learn from Park Saeroyi.

However, apart from Park Saeroyi, I did have a few complaints for the other characters. Some characters were especially annoying, and lacked development. I did like that the drama showcased imperfect characters, but it also sometimes excused the ignorant behaviour of these characters - almost making it seem that such behaviour was appropriate to viewers. Some characters were especially inconsistent, and just seemed random. This switch was really annoying to see because it didn't make sense. I think these characters had a lot of potential to really compliment the story, but the writer just changed them randomly in order to make Park Saeroyi look good. I wish the side characters had contributed a little more to the overall plot but unfortunately we were unable to see that as viewers.

The show also became a little slow in the middle, but then quickly picked up its pace later. I was disappointed with the last two episodes as I felt that there were unnecessary additions to the plot. However, the ending was still quite nice and most questions were answered.

Overall, this was definitely a meaningful and enjoyable watch. The reason why this show is receiving such a high rating (from me) despite its flaws is because of the lessons it served. As I saw this show and went about my life, I found myself thinking about Park Saeroyi and the importance of hardwork. Even if it was fiction, I really learned a lot from this drama and was thankful for the insights I gained. In addition, Itaewon class held some especially beautiful scenes that had my heart racing and gave me goosebumps. The OSTs were beautiful, and I know I will play them countless times in the future! Itaewon Class may have been lacking in some areas, but it was still a great show that managed to keep me eagerly waiting for new episodes each week ((:

This was my very first non-romance Japanese movie, and I found it to be a very exciting ride! The cinematography, the production, the cast, the sets, and everything was very very very enjoyable to see! It kind of reminded me of Lord of The Rings sometimes, and so the nostalgia made me very happy, haha.

Criticism wise, I wish that the plot had been more complex and that things were a little harder to achieve. As the other reviews mentioned, the story felt a little too simple at times. Albeit, that just may because I usually watch 16 hour long dramas, and thus I am used to seeing things progress in more detail. Overall, I do think that the movie did a good job with the 2 hours it had!

I also think Kento's acting was also a little over-the-top at times. As much as I love him - I actually started this movie for him! - it was a little cringe to see his overly enthusiastic acting. Although, I understand that this is his first time playing such a big role and it is very different from his past roles. I hope that in the next three movies, he can improve and become better because I know he is a brilliant actor and capable of a lot (as seen in his works Death Note and Todome No Kiss)! Other than that, the cast was brilliant and all actors delivered their roles very well!

To conclude, I would definitely recommend this movie! There may be a few things that were a little lacking, but in the end it was a very fun rollercoaster! I am excited to join the community of the Kingdom fans and read the story in it's different forms of media (ex: manga & anime) ((:

Temperature of Love easily made its way to the top of my favourite webdramas list. From the very first episode to the very last, it tightly held my attention and even managed to grasp a hold of my heart. When I started the show, I expected it to be similar to A-Teen. However, to my surprise, it was much more than that. I found A-Teen to be a little random at times and it felt incomplete? However, Temperature of Love was nothing like that. It is a meaningful story filled with struggles, mistakes and learnings that most youth experience at the delicate age of 18. Each character in this show has his/her own purpose and I loved that they all got their story told. And so, as I progressed throughout the episodes, I couldn't help but fall for all the characters and almost feel like they were like my own friends. I learned so much from them, and so as I finished the last episode at the crack of dawn (yes, i woke up at 5 AM for this finale), my heart felt all warm yet I also felt sad as our journey together was coming to an end. This show made me reflect upon myself but also look back at my highschool years. I personally especially related to this show as I am 19 years old and feel the pressure of education everyday. Consequently, this show offered a lot of comfort to me. Rather than focusing on romance, this drama focuses on friends, and the pressure of education and society; all topics I think most of us can relate very well too. If you are looking for a meaningful watch filled with life lessons, this show would definitely be the one to start!

7 First Kisses was literally an ad that was a parody. Thus, I never expected a proper drama. I just went into it like I go into YouTube skits. Consequently, I ended up enjoying it quite a lot and had a few great laughs. To see some of my absolute favourite actors play such cliche and ridiculous roles was really refreshing and funny. Yes, it is cringy but that is exactly what it is supposed to be! Overall, I would definitely NOT recommend this show if you are looking for a serious watch. It is just something funny to see in between breaks (lots of very very very handsome men to see!) or with your friends ((:

Extracurricular is unlike any highschool k-drama I have ever seen. This show takes a very raw, and dark take on highschool students and leaves its viewers at the very edge of their seats. Each episode made my heart race and left craving for more. The plot itself is very interesting and unique. The main character is a highschool student who handles a protection service for sex workers. Thus you can already tell that this is a show that really makes its viewers guess their values. Should prostitution be legalized? And is it okay to route for a highschool student who does this? He is running a protection service so he isn't a pimp, right? Albeit, since prostitution is illegal in South Korea, things become a lot more complicated and it isn't simply a discussion of ethics. I was often quite conflicted whilst watching this show, but I also felt myself facing our horrifying reality. Like the movie Parasite, I feel like this show holds many deep messages and makes you think about the hierarchy system in our society + the importance of the social determinants of health.

Other than that, the acting, music, production, and direction are all fantastic. I was in awe of all actors! Kim Dong Hee really proved himself to be a versatile actor! I was especially surprised to see Nam Yoon Soo's role! In Temperature of Love, he completely made me fall in love with him, yet in this show, the mere sight of him annoyed me. Park Joo Hyun and Jung Da Bin also did a phenomenal job!

The show is a little exhausting to binge since it is very dark. However, it is a very thought-provoking show written in an excellent manner. There are many twists and great character development. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers, then this one is definitely made for you!!

Drunk In Good taste like a fresh breeze that I desperately needed in midst of a very hectic and hard time in my life. I still remember lying on my couch and smiling like a fool as I saw the leads fall in love. This drama filled my heart with happiness and provided an escape I desperately needed :,)

To be honest, the show itself isn't necessarily anything special. It is a cliche romance story with cute characters. You have your typical popular mean girl, a handsome guy everyone is in love with, and a female lead who is adorable but not necessarily beautiful by societal standards. But, I don't think the directors or writers were trying to make anything very deep or unique. The show is just supposed to be just a fluffy, quick watch. And I think it delivered it's purpose very well; the characters were adorable and the romance was very very very sweet.

My only complaint was that the ending was a lil incomplete. However, since it is a show that is just two hours long, I wasn't too mad or annoyed. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who wants a cute lil watch that can make their heart flutter ((:

XX is undoubtedly the best show Playlist Global has delivered up to date. The story, the acting, the production, the characters...everything was *chef's kiss* The show was original, something new, and contained meaningful lessons. Whether it may be broken friendships, or toxic relationships; I think the show did an excellent job of portraying the character's troubles and allowing viewers to really learn from their mistakes. The women in this show were especially powerful, which was so nice to see!! With Sunmi's 'Gotta Go' playing at the back (this song is PERFECTION btw), I found myself getting goosebumps as my heartbeats skipped for these women :,) Each episode really left me wanting for more!

The show isn't really romance focused, but instead emphasizes on revenge and friendships. I personally loved that it took this unique approach (for a webdrama). The bits of romance were still enjoyable since it was all quite heart-warming. I loved seeing a healthy relationship and a male lead who was kind and patient for once. The characters were imperfect but that only made them more relatable and interesting. For a webdrama with short episodes, this show did a phenomenal job with the development.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who wants a quick, meaningful watch. Keep in mind that this is a webdrama with a few 15-25 minute episodes; thus it will probably not be the best show you have ever seen. However, for a webdrama coming from a smaller company - meaning limited money and time - it really did the best it could! Thus, I would give it a 10/10 for a webdrama ((:

This webdrama was super cute! The show follows the emotions an individual experiences when he/she develops a crush on someone - thus it was relatable and sweet to see. The story isn't anything special, but it is a quick, sweet watch that can make you smile ((: Also, is it just me or is something about the male lead super dreamy? He had my heart racing for him oml!

I wasn't too fond of how things progressed once the leads got together, and felt the story after that was unnecessary, but overall it was still a nice watch I would recommend ((:

this show was phenomenal. each moment had me on the edge of my seat and wondering what was going to happen next. it was an unpredictable ride that made my heart pound against my chest and make shivers run up my spine.

i find mystery stories set in school settings very interesting to unravel. i like creating various theories with my friends and relating to the school aspect of the show. thus, this show was very interesting to see in that aspect. it shed light on a lot of sad realities in a very enchanting manner because - as said before - the characters were brilliantly deceiving. it’s hard to explain, and one of those things you just have to see for yourself! i think everything was shown in an excellent manner and the pacing of the show was just perfect. i eagerly waited every week for the episodes of this show and ran to my macbook the moment the episode released! i also appreciated how they shed light on some social issues. it made me think about some aspects of our gruesome reality and raised awareness. it also made me think into the SOPA scandal, and was just enlightening overall. the acting, the story, the osts, and jun (oml he was perfect) were all top-notch!

the ending was a quite disappointing for me because it felt incomplete and i really think they could have added another two episodes to end it better. a lot of people also had problems with how the mysteries were solved in the show, but the lead's weren't real detectives and the people they chased weren't necessarily some mastermind criminals like Ted Bundy. thus, i thought the story unfolded in a pretty natural way for what it was? there may have been some loopholes, but it didn't personally bother me. in my eyes, the show was really really good from the start to near the end, and thus despite its imperfections i still adored it.

in conclusion, if you are interested in shows like 13 RW or sky castle, then i would HIGHLY recommend this!

moment at eighteen was like a fresh breeze of air that i needed on a very hot and humid day. it came, held my hand and pulled me into the delicate world of the beautiful youth. this was a show that i had nearly expected to be a cliche high-school romance story (i mean, i wasn’t complaining because i’m a complete sucker for those). however, i was pleasantly surprised to find myself in midst of a story that was filled with real struggles , mistakes and learning. moment at eighteen isn’t your original high-school story as it features characters who are very real and strays from the cliche route. you will feel yourself getting close to the characters as if they are your own friends. and you will even feel yourself going through a roller-coaster of emotions with these characters! one second your heart will feel all warm and the next you’ll feel like beating the shit out of someone? albeit, by the end, you’ll see them all grow into better people and find themselves. this part was very meaningful to see as i am an eighteen year-old myself. seeing the show right after highschool made me reminisce my four years and think about what mistakes i made, and how i can learn from them to do better in university. the show really went past just entertainment and gave me new insights & perspectives.

entertainment and plot-wise wise, it was beautiful. the story may have been a little slow at times for some people, although i personally loved the pace as i was able to understand each character. this was one of the few dramas in which i actually loved all the side characters as well. i looked forward to what was happening to them too, because - as i said before - it felt like they were my friends. the osts fit the story perfectly and the cinematography was beyond gorgeous. some moments were captured so well that i had to keep rewinding them! the drama just made me feel really happy and warm. the acting in this drama really surprised me! i was a bit scared to see ong seong woo act as i didn’t know much about his acting abilities. i was hoping he wouldn’t be another cha eunwoo (no offence to eunwoo! he’s not horrible but he’s not quite the best yet). albeit ong acc did really well! he was able to bring a lot of emotion into his character, which was surprising and lovely to see.

kim hyang gi is of course a queen when it comes to acting , so her great acting was well-expected. she did a great job expressing her character and brought a lot of emotions into the show. my bby did such a good job , she made me so emotional in this show! she’s the cutest lil bean y’all :,)

shin seung-ho did a great job of making me want to best the crap out of ma hwi young. this man oml, he pISSed me off- especially at the start. ofc , there is a lot of character development , and change will come , but in the first few episodes...i was ready to jump into my laptop and teach him a lesson! it was really surprising to see seung-ho play such a different character after a-teen. in a-teen, he was like a lil cinnamon roll, whereas here he was just an ass. so to see this big change really made me realize what a great actor seung-ho is. i truly look forward to him growing and becoming successful bc he is hella talented!

all in all, this review has become into a whole essay, so i’m going to stop! i’m gonna end this with saying: regardless of your age, i think moment at eighteen is a lovely show that mirrors youth in a beautiful manner. if you are below 18, you can see the show and learn from the character’s mistakes. if you are 18 , you can relate to these characters and reflect on yourself. and if you are past 18 , you can reminisce your youth. at all ages, it will be able to provide insight to various situations in a very emotional and lovely manner. i would 100% recommend this show to anyone looking for a sweet, emotional and meaningful watch ((:

a captivating watch!

When I first heard about this show, I immediately thought it wasn't it for me. This was because I'm not a fan of melodrama or shows revolving around infidelity + I wasn't familiar with the cast. However, as the show progressed and received very high ratings, I couldn't help but feel the need to start it. After just one episode, I was completely hooked. Despite feeling my blood boil, I couldn't help but crave for more. The World Of Married is very carefully written and is a complete masterpiece. It shows the dark side of reality and holds very flawed characters. These last 8 episodes have held more substance than 95% of full-length asian dramas I have seen. Each episode is a rollercoaster of emotions and will leave you thinking. No show has ever messed with my emotions in this manner! I am in absolute awe of how the writers managed to execute this show. I am writing this review at the show's half-point of airing, and to be honest, I really have no idea what these next 8 episodes are about to hold...

All the characters in the drama are very raw, and really show how humans may behave when driven by anger and revenge. It really made me realize how people with the most seemingly perfect lives can become insane in a matter of seconds. The show also made me think about real life and wonder how traumatic cheating can be for some women and children. The writers of this show really managed to create a very thought-provoking drama!

Overall, I would recommend this if you are a fan of psychological mature shows. It is a heavy watch, and I think you need to be in the right mood to enjoy it. Some people were left too enraged and ended up dropping it, so be cautious of that!

FINAL REVIEW:

it is crazy how much a show can change over the episodes haha. i ended up not finishing this show and dropping it. it just became boring for me and i honestly lost all interest in characters. i was really hoping for a heart-fluttering romance with lots of cute scenes between the main leads but i think the writers were trying to steer this story in a somewhat serious and emotional direction. i adore emotional stories, however the balance here seemed...off. it was not serious or emotional enough to make me intrigued but also not cute enough to make me smile. more and more cliches were added as the story continued to become more confusing. the episodes feel kind of draggy and i feel myself not caring much about the characters. i think this drama had a lot of potential and they could have made it into the cutest fluffy show, but instead they are dragged it on :(

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

'meow, the secret boy' is the perfect watch if you want something fluffy and cute! the characters are very endearing and the music well compliments their tone. tbh i was initially a little critical of this drama but i still really wanted to start it because of the cast. and luckily, the show really surprised me! i am very content with how the team is delivering everything so far; the scenes are beautiful, the story is simple, and the characters are lovely. throughout my whole watch, i had a big smile on my face and my heart just felt all fuzzy ヅ

the first episode was a bit slower (i still enjoyed it tho!) but the second episode really picked things up. there was heart-fluttering romance, comedy that made me laugh, and even some slightly emotional scenes. if this drama continues to be as good as the first two episodes were, then i would call it the epitome of a fluffy rom-com haha

i would definitely recommend this show if you need a light-hearted watch. be prepared to not think too deep into everything. as you can tell by the synopsis, the show is based off of a webtoon that has some fantasy elements, thus there may be things that do not make much sense. i have had a pet cat in the past and am currently studying biology in university, thus there were quite a few things that made me go 'uh that's not possible...' at the back of my head. but, i decided to just ignore reality and instead focus on what is happening in the moment. as a result, i was really able to enjoy the first two episodes.

please also note that the romance in this show is NOT between a cat and a human. the male lead in the show is able to shapeshift between a human and a cat. now of course, this is not realistically possible. but if it were, you have to realize than when hong jo switches to his human form, he is human. his memories may be from his time as a cat, but in his human form, he has the brain of a human. thus, his brain is far more developed and he is able to display intelligence. his human biology is bound to contribute to his more complex emotions and actions. as a result, the romance is being built between a human and a human. thus, i don't think we should be comparing hong jo to our own pets haha. just a thought ((: overall, i think this is the type of show where you need to put away your common sense to enjoy the nice feels the show has to offer ((:
