A Love So Beautiful (2020)
The show's a little unrefined, rough around the edges, and at times iffy at best but its got the spirit and that's what counts.
I always felt that the coming-of-age genre is a cheat code in writing since many can easily relate to its thematic values. So essentially the show was playing with house money but doesn't quite act like it. The story progression and pacing is a bit of a mess and uncoordinated. It makes safe but bland choices which, when paired with the fact that secondary characters shined a bit brighter than their primary counterparts, resulted in a safe but bland experience.
Still, the show is easy on the eyes, easy on the mind, and easy for viewers to digest as we watch a love blossom into something so beautiful.
